Congrats and welcome to the forum! Costs for my guests was a huge concern for me as well and I ended up narrowing my options by both reading wedding reviews on the forum, and checking the costs and reviews of resorts on expedia and tripadvisor and getting an idea of what the cost was for the time frame we wanted.
I definitely plan on using the assistance of a TA to take the stress off of me with guests travel arrangements. There is no way I want 50 people coming to me about their travel, so I'm going to use someone else that can get us better rates and help take the stress of all of my guests travel arrangements off my shoulders.
Congrats and welcome to the forum! You'll find a lot of great information on here to help out with planning. Once you figure out the country location you are looking for you can start narrowing down by resorts.
Congrats and welcome to the forum! I'm not exactly sure how it works in Jamaica but I think it depends on what type of ceremony you are having civil or symbolic for the documents.

Like you, I am planning WAY ahead...I already have ideas of most everything I need/want. I know it's still early, but the sooner I do/think about now, the less stress it will be later! (At least that's the hope.) That's my goal to create less stress for the end. We picked our wedding date due to our schedules since that's the first availability we'll have in the next couple of year...sad I know, but I think it will allow me to get everything done way in advance so I can hopefully relax a little more right before the big day!
I'm planning on doing the same with the cake situation, I know most of my guests will not eat it and every penny saved counts! Your wedding will be here before you know it, a month to go!
