  1. Ours falls on a Friday, we chose the date not really the day, and we plan to arrive a week before hand to spend time with our guests, and the day after the wedding we are saying good-bye and heading off to our honeymoon for another week.

I've had this concern as well. I'm planning on taking my BM's our mom's and my sister to Playa either the day before or two days before wedding day to have a girls day and go shopping. That way we can catch some new scenery and I'm sure it will be a blast and some much needed girl time.

  18. I'm not ringless but I definitely knew that it was coming, my FI isn't really good at keeping secrets the bill for the ring kept popping up in the mail. haha, I also kind of figured out that it would be on our weekend away for our anniversary, which it was and he still has no idea that I had any idea and I will never break his heart and tell him, he tried so hard to go all out and surprise me because he knows how much I love surprises but in the end it was a perfect proposal and totally us and I wouldn't change it. Even if you are expecting it it will still be perfect.

I'll give it back to my mom so she can wear it and buy matching wedding bands with my hubby-to-be instead). Though I'm thrilled about getting the ring for sentimental reasons (and because it looks gorgeous too:)), I kinda wish my mom had done that in secret with my FI behind my back instead of telling ME about it. We plan on marry in the spring of 2011, in Varadero Cuba. My FI is almost as much into the planning as me, always talking about it and often looking online for more info/reviews for the resorts we are thinking of (mostly the Iberostars Varadero and Laguna Azul). I think that's amazing that you'll be able to wear your grandmother's engagement ring!
  20. Using a website is the best way to go as getting the most information our to your guests. You can update it and they can check it often. I have my website set-up with an entire section about the Dreams Tulum resort with all the detailed information on it.
  21. We are most likely having a friend of ours officiate the wedding since we doing the legal thing the day before we leave to not have to hassle with the blood tests and paperwork. In the event our friend won't be able to do so then we will be using the officiant that the resort offers. However my instant OMG freak out of not having 5pm (mostly lighting reasons) has been eased. Allowing some extra time before cocktail and dinner may be beneficial for our guests. I'm getting ready to send in my deposit, I wanted to make sure all my big questions were answered first, so this is exciting and terrifying all at the same time two big deposits in one week with the resort and my photographers.
