Anabel was our WC and she was the sweetest, most hard-working person I have ever met... as is the rest of the DT staff. I wanted to let you know I posted some TTD/After Session teasers from my photog (she blogged them in the Cancun airport, that's how awesome she is). I am so lucky to have had her (Critsey Rowe in case any of you are wondering). So until next time, ENJOY! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...9/#post1089860 I can't wait to see the review and more pics your TTD pics look amazing!
  2. Yay Nikki! I'm glad you did your planning or non-planning thread! Your wedding looked like a lot of fun and you were beautiful in your dress!
  3. Congrats! Everything looks amazing and you were beautiful, so happy to hear that everything went so well for you!
  4. I know exactly how you feel. I'm also getting married in 2011 and my dad is dead set against going to Mexico for my wedding. He believes you get married where you were raised and refuses to get on a plane and go out of the country. This is devastating of course as we are close and I really want him to walk me down the aisle. I however am his youngest daughter and he's done this once before. I'm sure your dad is like mine in that he wants to be at your wedding just not the location. I've already booked our location and am determined that before leaving my dad will be on the plane. My mom keeps telling me I have plenty of time but I often get worried that he really won't be there and start to wonder if I should change my location to a place he would be more likely to show up at.
  5. Congrats and welcome to the forum! Choosing the destination is hard but make a list of all the things that are must haves and it will help narrow things down for you.

  9. Congrats and welcome to the forum! If you area wanting mayan ruins you'll definitely want to stay on the Cancun side or even in Playa del Carmen. There are a lot of amazing resorts and trust me your budget won't be a problem I have the same budget and we ended up choosing Dreams Tulum because of it's location to the Tulum Ruins as I was very adamant that there had to be a historical ruin site in my DW location. There is also the chance to swim with dolphins at Xel-Ha close by. Good luck with all your planning!
  10. Congrats and welcome to the forum! You'll find a lot of information on Dreams Cancun here

  12. You aren't being selfish at all. Currently my parents are in a tight financial situation and it's not that they don't want to come to my wedding but I don't know if they can make it. I honestly can't pay for them but I'm trying to at least pay for their passports. I know what you're going through but as long as they are supportive I don't think it's a problem at all.

  15. That's beautiful, it's exactly what I'm looking for for my TTD I just wish it was in my size though!
  16. This is our plan to go to the courthouse right before we leave. We won't be exchanging rings or anything to us it is just paperwork, our wedding in Mexico is our real wedding. I think most brides end up doing this because it really just makes things a little easier and I personally don't want to deal with the paperwork and blood tests in Mexico.

    Hello All

    Congrats and welcome!
  18. I think it's completely up to you, you can choose to have whoever you want to walk you down the aisle. I'm hoping my dad will be there but he still says he won't be coming because he refuses to go to Mexico - so I'm hoping before the big day he'll get over himself and just go otherwise I'll be alone.
