oh I brought this up in another thread...but is anyone else going to carry-on your real touch bouquets? I want to carry mine on and I have my BM her's to carry on with her and she brought up a good point....the bouquets have straight pins in them for the ribbon so not sure how that will go over. Do any of you have a similar problem?

RE: Tipping....I also feel like $100 may be a little steep but it depends on how well she does. I don't know how tipping can give you extra attention and free things since you don't tip until the end. At least I wouldn't tip until the end because if it doesn't go well her tip will reflect that...now if everything is wonderful and perfect and she handles everything the way I wanted then yeah I can see giving her a $100. My shower was yesterday and it was so much fun! My FMIL and BM are the ones who threw it for me and my FMIL seriously went above and beyond. We didn't do traditional games or things like that but there was a slideshow of our e-pics mixed in with pictures of Tulum and our wedding site since a lot of our aunts and grandma won't be making it. They really enjoyed seeing all that and they kept asking about my dress so I pulled out the pics from my last fitting so they all appreciated being able to see it. My FMIL baked a 3-tiered cake and made homemade icing and coordinated the decorations with our colors and flowers it was too cute! This week I need to order the stuff to put together out AHR invites and I'm working on shower thank you's today.

bump bump Ok I have my real touch bouquets and was planning on carrying them on the plane with me. Well my BM pointed out something today so now I need some advice from past brides who've done this. My bouquets have straight pins in the stems for the ribbon....which I'm sure TSA would be big fans of. So now I'm not sure what to do. So did any of you carry on your bouquets like this and was it an issue.....or what's the other alternative. I'm scared to put them in our checked luggage!

Yes my schedule is jam packed up until we leave. I really wanted to go visit my friend in DC before the wedding but then I had to call her back and tell her it just wasn't possible. My shower is this weekend!

Yes my spa appointments are booked but it took forever! I contacted my WC first then she forwarded it to me, I sent her the details of what she needed but never heard back and never heard back. So then when all else fails I always just use the mail email for the resort and tell them what I'm trying to do and that I haven't heard a response. It always gets me the response I need because then someone else (usually their boss) is hounding them. Then I finally get my response and finally got my confirmation. So if you don't get a response on things in a timely manner use the main resort email....works like a charm.

I delt with this form day 1. My parents insisted that I was putting a burden on our guests with travel costs and what not. My father kept telling me they would not be going. I started looking at every location possible that they may feel better about but in the end we stuck to our original plan. FI and I knew what we wanted and we didn't change it. Well 5 weeks from my wedding and my parents are booked and set to go. My bff who also had a DW experienced the same thing with her parents they refused to go in the beginning but the closer the wedding gets they end up changing their minds. I'm not sure about your specific relationship with your parents but I think if you really stick to what it is that you and your FI want and are ok with the chance that they may not come in the end....when it gets closer they may surprise you.

OH No NurseM, I'm so sorry for you. I hate how people view an entire county unsafe because of a couple of locations. It's ridiculous but just stay calm and cool about it. Everything will work out in the end.

NurseM I did the same thing with the cake boxes. I just hope everyone will take the cake with them!

Our cake came with our wedding package so we're doing both the dessert and the wedding cake since it's included. Re; Gifts, we've already said no gifts in Mexico! However, we will except them at the AHR if they feel the need to get us something.

I love the Axxium manicure. I'm all set to have it done next week and then once more before my wedding but I'm worried about how it holds up in the salt water. Does anyone have an answer to that? If I were you and you wanted to have it done before you go I would look into that type because it doesn't ruin your nails like acrylics do. I've had it done 4 times and it's great and you don't get that feeling of not being able to do anything with your hands after and you can still use your nails since they aren't much thicker than your regular nail.
