haha, my Fi's input goes like this me: what do you think about.....blah blah blah him: sounds good whatever you want it's your wedding just tell me what time to show up... lol, I love him, but I do wish he cared about the little details more.

That is an awesome idea sweetluna! My gift is my BD book that someone else will be delivering to him while he his getting ready for the wedding with a special card. Not too exciting really. I probably won't get anything from him, hahaha

Yeah the basic white linens will be included with your package, but colored ones are extra and typically not worth what they charge. However, your resort may have a limit on the linens they provide (i.e the amount that they include for the reception in your package) so you may want to ask about that.

Wedding Colors--What Goes With Purple?

I like green and charcoal with purple, my MOH had her wedding in January and her color scheme was canary, charcoal, and purple and it all looked really good. -
Your hotel should supply them, are you getting married at a resort or a boutique hotel? If it is a smaller boutique hotel I'm sure they should still have them available but always double check just to make sure.

Wow she sounds very selfish, I wish I had some advice but fortunately I'm as close to my FMIL as I am to my own mother. The white dress to the wedding would definitely throw me over the top! Go ahead let her wear black. Just try not to let this woman ruin your day, you will probably never get a long with her but you love her son and even though she lives close by you'll just have to stand your ground, but at least your FI is pretty good about standing up to her on your behalf I think that's something that is rare in these situations.
