Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forum! It's a tough decision but for me and my FI we wanted a DW from the beginning. It still has stress but a lot less and can be much more intimate, which is what we were looking for. Once you narrow down what is most important to you both for the wedding day you'll be able to make your decision and the forum is a great place to turn to for ideas on absolutely everything. Absolutely love this idea! My wedding is May 6, 2011 and if anyone is going to have some orange or apple green organza sashes I would love to take them off your hands. If not I'll be purchasing them and have them ready for a bride after my wedding. Needing about 50 of them all together and a mix of orange and green would be great.

So sorry to hear that people didn't book and you had to pay the penalties for extra rooms that weren't booked. You're right though only you 2 really matter and it's very nice that she chipped in the money for you. I definitely am shying away from doing a room block.

I was also going to suggest The Royal, or an Excellence resort. These are the 2 resorts that my Fi and I are trying to choose between for our honeymoon week.
