Nicola that's great news!! I have a question for all of you. Part of our quote from our TA is for the insurance which is a cancel at anytime (if anyone needs to cancel they get all of their money back), up to $5,000 for medical needs and coverage for any lost baggage or anything like that. So my question is this is costing about $114 pp and is part of my TA's package...is this really necessary?

The dress looks great on you, and I think you can wear whatever you want on the beach, I never dreamed I would have the gown I ended up getting, but I loved it. When you find a dress you love then it's the right one, and it's at such a great price.

Awesome thread Karla! We're having lasagna tonight (my mom's recipe) which really is just ingredients because in my family we don't measure anything which makes it hard for me to share my recipes with people. Texas Toast garlic bread, and fresh spinach and romaine salad straight from our garden with all the fixings.

Definitely sit down and talk to your mom about it, but not necessarily the dress, maybe just ask if she can help out with any part of the wedding. When we went dress shopping I was planning on paying for my dress and then my mom would start talking about her and my dad paying for it. However, when it came to put the deposit down, I was the one that made the deposit. My mom made one $150 payment on my dress and I paid for the rest of it. Then again both of my parents have been laid off this year so they've been pretty tight and I was just excited they made that payment. I keep telling them I just want them to save for the trip and not buy stuff for the wedding.

Just took FI's measurements last night so we can order his suit, but so glad I came on here, FI said he wanted dark beige but looking at the color swatches we're definitely going to have to change that.

I get that all the time, but at least you are hearing "maybe it'll be safer by the time your wedding rolls around", the remarks I get are only "it's not safe in Mexico why would you ask your friends and family to go there"....just remember to do what you want to do and what I've learned is that the people that really love you and want to be there will be there.
