  1. Yeah, I think I'm going to go ahead and use her for hair and make-up too, and I'm undecided about having her do the canopy for us at the ceremony.
  2. To extend it an hour is $15 per person, which I have budgeted for, but I'm going to play the whole no we still are going to keep going I don't care if we have waitstaff and hope I don't get charged for it though.
  3. Congrats and welcome to the forum!
  4. STD"s I sent mine out in May because I wanted them out 1 year before, and I will be sending my invites out right after Christmas with their official RSVP card and reminder of when the final payment is due. Â Nan - so I've been emailing with Juliet about the flowers and some other things and so happy!! She quoted me $42 for the same centerpiece my resort wanted to charge me $245 for!
  5. ok I need to clear up a question I'm having while adding up my prices here....is the champagne toast included for 20 or is that a complete other cost all together?
  6. I would go with #2, it looks similar to the one I'm using so I might be biased.
  7. That's what we are doing, he will also be doing our ceremony. It works out much better to have him do both, plus it takes the stress off of my to have a guest announce us and then have to change music at my own wedding.
  8. I'm getting married in Tulum and I'm using Jillian Mitchell for my photographer. This was the most important thing to me and you really just have to search and search different photographers and see what styles you like and what will also fit within your budget. Always ask a photographer you are interested in if you can see a full wedding slideshow they have done that includes everything.
  9. Congrats and welcome to the forum!
  10. Everything looked wonderful, congratulations!
  11. We will be doing this, we're going to get legally married a couple days before we leave, but we aren't telling anyone we are doing this. We just want to avoid all the bloodwork and translation and paperwork between here and Mexico.
  12. That dress is absolutely perfect for you, it looks great, congrats on finding the dress!
  13. My FMIL keeps asking me what she's supposed to wear and I just keep telling her that I don't care, lol. Honestly though I think you should go shopping with her and try on both long and short dresses. Fulfill her wishes by picking out long ones but show her how the short ones look on you and tell her how comfortable you are in them. For example I wanted my BM's to wear short dresses...well they both liked the long one so that's what we got. If you tell her and show her how comfortable you are in something I'm sure she'll end up agreeing with you.
  14. Nan - I contacted your florist but haven't heard back yet. I'm really hoping I hear back soon because I would love those centerpieces at that price and not the $245 my resort wants to charge me!

Congrats and welcome to the forum! Typically if you just email the wedding department of the resort from their website they will provide you with all the info you need.
  16. Congrats and welcome to the forum! When and where are you getting married?
  17. alright I think I have narrowed it down, I have been searching for orange or apple green shoes for months, I really wanted wedges but I was unsuccessful in finding any of those and since I plan on being barefoot for the ceremony portion anyway It's not that big of a deal...so here are the shoes I'm probably going to get to wear during the reception Â
  18. Awesome Nan, I just checked out the website and sent an email! Â elbachow - no I think the light up dance floors are a lot of fun and I know from all the reviews the brides that have had them absolutely loved them
