alright I definitely need to join this thread. I'm getting married in May 2011 and with my schedule of full time school, clinic, and 3 jobs, working out no longer exists, and I've always been an athlete so it's been hard. My goal is to get back to working out in December once school is done which will give me 6 months before the wedding. I'm going to be getting the insanity workout and force my FI to do it with me. I'll have to use you girls as inspiration to workout everyday and lose the original 10 I was planning on plus the now 6 additional pounds I've put on in the past 2 months.

Melly - I'm sending out a separate invite for the AHR simply for 2 reasons, 1. we aren't telling people we are having one yet so they don't use that as an excuse not to go to Mexico, and 2. because we only invited a select few to Mexico anyway so we have to make more invites anyway. Â Nan - those shoes are cute....here are my shoes, the first pair are similar to those actually, I'm not sure about them yet, I was going to go barefoot but my whole wedding party towers over me (I'm 5'2) but I'll definitely be wearing the green ones for the reception.

I hired DJ Bijan for our ceremony and reception so he will be playing both, I've learned to not ask them questions just tell them what you are doing, it works a lot easier. Also when you go to pay that "vendor" fee double check your bill and pull out the guide. Â Sadly every other dreams resorts allows for their brides to switch things in the package, I'm not sure why DT is so different but maybe if we collectively pull resources and contact someone things may change, who knows.

Nan - those look great, and I of course don't believe in anything being too bright since I kinda have a bright scheme myself! haha!

 We were originally planning on 50 guests and I had thought about doing the free package instead, but now quite a few of them won't be going due to some other family event sine it's apparently more important...ugh don't let me get started. Anyway we are probably going to have 20-25 people with us so I'm sticking to the ultimate package. Â

 You should be locked in to the price from when you booked your wedding.  I'm just doing the symbolic ceremony and you will not need any divorce documents or anything since it is not legal in Mexico.  as for DJ, I just booked with DJ Bijan his pricing is great and he's handling the ceremony and reception. I'm using Jillian Mitchell who is actually based out of PV but I love her pictures and she's wanting to do more things in the RM area so she gave a great deal. As far as saving money on OOT bags, don't have the resort deliver them. I'm going to pass mine out to guests as they arrive to the resort, this way I don't have to deal with the extra fees and I can meet and greet everyone as they come in. Those guests that are flying down with us will get theirs in the airport, lol.

I've been through the same thing over and over again, and in my case my parents were adamant on not going to my wedding, getting down to about 7 months to go and they are finally waking up and changing their minds...our engagement has been long and they kept thinking we would change our minds. Â Honestly though you just answered your own question as to whether you want to continue to plan a DW wedding or not when you said it would be more of a sacrifice to not have the wedding you want.

I love your bouquet, and your centerpiece ideas with using the wine bottles, those look great! Â Nan - I think purple and orange are great, what shade of purple are you going with?

I'm doing mine per couple. However, my FMIL and her bff will be sharing a room so for that situation there will be 2 bags in their room. Most of my contents are for both of them and then there will be something for the women and something different for the men.

OH wow she's doing everything, that's awesome! I ordered my real touch bouquets months ago and here is what they look like. My colors are tangerine and green apple, our flowers are all green cymbidium orchids and orange calla lilies. The centerpieces I want though also have white hydrangeas in them.  my bouquet BM bouquet  Centerpieces and there will be candles all around them and orange petals scattered on the table. We are having 20 guests maybe closer to 30 not sure yet, but if we only have 20 I plan on doing one long table and having on of these centerpieces then a vase with one of the bouquets in between each one. Otherwise the head table will have the bouquets doubling as centerpieces with 2 of these on the head table.  This is the canopy set-up that I want that is actually off her website. I'm undecided on the orchids there just because they are so expensive, and I've already started the DIY project of making fabric pomanders with the intention of hanging them on the front of the canopy. I'm also going to have her set up some luminaries around the reception area and add extra lighting.

I want to bump this thread up, since it's my specific issue right now. Â I'm debating rwhether to go ahead and have the hair and make-up included in my package done at Dreams Tulum or hire an outside stylist and make-up artist. Anyone have any advice on what they would do, a lot of past reviews have left me with mixed emotions. Also does anyone know what make-up products they use?

Could someone verify the half day pass and full day pass, like what are the time frames on these?
