Yay! Suprise flowers are always amazing!! Just a couple more months until you're starting back at 1!!

I sometimes feel quilty because since we even thought about doing a DW my family has been nothing but against it. My mom is on board and assures me that she will get my dad there to walk me down the aisle, however, he tells me every time he sees me he's not going. My sister and BIL don't sound very interested in coming either. I'm pretty much not sure if my family members will be there at all, but my best friend who lives in Luxembourg will be there. I figure my dad will suck it up because he doesn't have a choice - but I'm worried that my sister and her family won't be able to swing the trip financially and won't make it .

I'm also planning a DW with just immediate family and a few of our closest friends, with a larger AHR to include everyone else. I'm going to make 2 sets of invitations one STD for our DW which will be boarding pass STD and an invitation to follow for those close family and friends. Then I'm going to have a STD and invitation separate for the AHR.

Congrats and welcome!! Just consider all locations and see which offers what you're wanting and will also keep the budget down for your traveling guests, but remember this is your big day and you want to keep it the way you imagined!

I think she's just venting about her situation and taking it out on you. She shouldn't have said that and hopefully it was only out of frustration due to her financial strains. I hope everything works out though and that she makes it to your wedding!

OMG that's horrible!

The dress is beautiful, but I do see what it does "cut you off", from the back it looks great. Unless you are planning on wearing heels or maybe having it altered a little bit to make the front bottom hem a little softer for you, I would still look around. It's a beautiful dress though so try to see what a seamstress can do for you, I'm only 5'2 so I completely understand what you're going through!

If you are going to have an AHR reception with a cake you can use that one, or even have a small tier made for that event so that you can freeze it. That's what I'm planning on doing anyway!
