smckinney22 & Tifuhhknee- Thanks for the info! Do you know if any of the excursion companies allow use of the cenote areas for a TTD session?! Obviously I would expect a special fee above and beyond, but we were thinking of doing it in the mix of our group excursion to let our guests feel like a part of it, if they want. Anyway, if you know if they can do that or even if they will take us to a private location, whatever works. Thanks.

After looking and searching the Dreams Tulum sticky thread, I am stressed about what to do regarding decorations for the reception!! I was thinking about buying some lanterns and things from another bride close to me in Charleston. The thing is...is it worth bringing EVERYTHING down in aditional luggage? Is it really that cost effective? We are heading on our honeymoon 2 days after our wedding, and I don't think shipping the items back will be cost effective at all?! I do want our day to be what I envision, but I am concerned about the decorating options that Dreams has to offer, it just doesn't seem like they offer a lot.....It is sooo confusing!!! My main concern are the flowers and centerpieces/paper lanterns. Should I just hire an outside florist or just get another wedding planner from the area to help? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I am so excited!! I am a May Tulum bride as well!! I have My dress (1 of them), the bridesmaids dresses, our photographer (Gregg Martin- Columbia, SC), and well that's about it.....so I look forward to bouncing ideas off of each other and sharing decorations, experiences, etc....Congrats to you all!!!

Okay...I may be back as a Tulum bride!!!!!!! We will see?!! What a mess this has been....but whatever happens will be what it is! So, I am back in action on this thread and can't wait to start the REAL planning! Going to try on dresses today with Sally - BM!! YEY!!!!

So some disappointing news....I will no longer be a Tulum bride Everyone and their brother has jumped on possible dates for us in the evening on a Friday, from March thru July! Our TA's salesperson had a death in the family and we were unable to get the date that we were told was still available (May 28th, 2010 evening). We are in the process of checking other Dreams locations. I am still so grateful for EVERYONE'S input & information on this site, as I will still come to it for great ideas and help with any input/ideas I have! Much love to you all!! Wish me luck!

@violetvixen - I am dealing with a travel agent and are using her wholesaler connection...but the contract is for a 20-30+ discounted room rate, so we can have the pricing locked in now. I haven't seen the actual contract/paperwork, but my TA is referring to it as a contract...when I get it in hand and read it, I will know more. It may not be from the resort?!

This has been Extremely helpful!! You are the WOMAN!!! We just received info on our tentative wedding in May at Dreams Tulum & will hopefully have the contract signed this coming week! YAY!!!
