  1. I am also using Anne Marie with Weddings in the Bahamas. She has been great to work with and returns phone calls very quickly. Their prices are very reasonable and they can customize your package. I am only in the beginning stages, but so far I give her a thumbs up!
  2. I have finally squared away the details for my wedding: We are going on the Carnival Sensation out of Port Canaveral on April 8 and getting married in Nassau, Bahamas on April 9. Because I will not be in the Bahamas at least 24 hours before the ceremony, I cannot legally get married there. My wedding planner says I basically have two options: 1. Fly with my fiance to the Bahamas less than three months before the wedding and get the license or 2. Get legally married in a courthouse before we go. Option #2 will obviously be cheaper and easier, so that is what I am leaning toward. I am wondering if any other brides have done this or are considering doing this? Will it take away from the excitement of the big day?
  3. I'm getting married on the Carnival Sensation cruise too! We sail April 8, 2010 from Port Canaveral and I am getting married in Nassau on April 9. I was thinking about having my hair done in the ship's spa, but I would love to hear from brides who have done this to determine if I can trust the stylists on board.
  4. Hello fellow brides, My name is Mandy, and I am planning a cruise wedding in April 2010. After exploring several options, I have decided to go with an island wedding coordinator and get married on Nassau. I am trying to decide between two locations - Poop Deck Restaurant (I am still not sure how I feel about the word poop on a wedding invite, though) and Compass Point. If anyone knows anything about these venues or has tips for getting hitched in Nassau, I would love to hear them!
