  1. Everything looked great! I love the yellow - so bright and cheery. I especially love the bonfire/s'more area!
  2. I would think that vanilla, chocolate, or amaretto are safe picks. I would be hesitant to try anything different without being able to taste test.
  3. Rach, your bouquet is absolutely gorgeous! I love the mixture of textures and colors!
  4. If you wanted to add candles, you could get battery-operated LED candles in tealight sizes to put in small vases. They have some that flicker very naturally now. I love the lemon idea, btw!
  5. What about blue hydrangeas? Not sure if they would be available in your location or not, but they are generally blue/lilac together.
  6. If you're looking to buy your groomsman a nice gift of appreciation, you could get them Birkenstocks.
  7. Congratulations on making the right decision for you and your future husband! I'm sure things from here on out will be much calmer and you'll be able to look forward toward your day without so much stress! Can I ask what some of the reasons were that you decided to change resorts? If you don't feel like getting into it, it's okay.
  8. Congratulations on deciding on a resort! Your day will be here before you know it, and you will have a great time!
  9. I have not stayed at Beaches Sandy Bay, but I did walk past it on the beach. It is a small resort, but I am sure it is up to Sandals/Beaches service standards even if it is a little more outdated. The other thing to keep in mind is that your guests will probably not spend much time in their rooms, and there is a shuttle that runs between Sandy Bay and Beaches Negril on the hour, so they can come over when they would like. It is only about a 20-minute walk between the two along the beach.
  10. Are they travelling to your wedding? You could treat them to a massage or mani/pedi at the spa at the resort. That way, you still can have your girls morning before your wedding without having bridesmaids.
  11. How about having a celebration of your wedding in early Spring 2010? That way the holidays have passed and you will have had some time to accumulate more vacation days. It doesn't necessarily have to be a full reception, just a fun party so that your parents can celebrate your recent marriage with their friends.
  12. Welcome to the forum and congratulations! If you have any specific questions about Sandals Negril, I was there earlier this year - feel free to ask! I also took a bunch of pictures if you are thinking about wedding locations within the resort.
  13. Welcome to the forum! Take a look at Beaches Boscobel in Jamaica to see if you are interested. It is kid friendly, and I think the hotel blocks should be more spread out and not too many floors. Golf is also included.
  14. Welcome to the forum! There aren't many all inclusive resorts on the cliffs of Negril - Samsara is smaller and not as fancy, and The Caves is very fancy and beautiful but more expensive. I attended a destination wedding at Sandals Negril earlier in the year on the beach in Negril, and they had the ceremony in the gazebo by the beach. The beach and ocean were right there, but the aisle was a sidewalk and surrounded by grass. They had a small reception on the lawn next to the gazebo and dinner later in one of the restaurants. So, you don't necessarily have to get your dress all sandy - many girls mention having their ceremony or reception on a pool deck overlooking the ocean, so that is another option as well. The cliffs would be beautiful though.
  15. Congratulations and welcome! You will find many good ideas on this forum and lots of help from other brides!
  16. Congratulations and welcome! I think having your wedding in Okinawa sounds like a wonderful idea!
