Yes that's her! Hahaha! That's too funny about the multiple emails a day! I was so close to doing that earlier today but held back since I'm still not confirmed and didn't want to scare her off ha! Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks like that LOL! Thank you! Quote: Originally Posted by Lady_Di Yeah, I have her too! Alana was faster with the replies but looks like I'm stuck with Kimberly...it is all good as long she reply to my email within a day! Lol. Ok thanks so much! I sent another this morning letting her know I'm ready to make a deposit for our date so hopefully that will get the ball rolling a little faster. At least we'll all 3 be in the boat w/Kimberly together haha!
  2. Hey ladies! Is anyone working w/the WC, Kimberly R, at the Royal/Gran? She's my WC (or will be, anyway. I'm waiting to hear back from her about my date confirmation & its taking forever! Well forever to me, lol). I've read through this thread and her name hasn't popped up at all so I was just wondering, has anyone had any experience w/her?
  3. Great review!!!! You're wedding looked and sounded wonderful!! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm working on planning mine at the Gran/Royal in June 2010, as I type. I'm debating on booking our stay at the Royal or Gran, though. Is the Royal that much nicer? Bc it's definitely pricier, goodness!
  4. Hi Nicole! Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forum! I was new to the forum thing, as well, when I found this wonderful site. You're going to LOVE it! As far as venues, that's the hardest part. I'm still trying to decide on mine ha! First thing, choose your location (Cabo, Playa, DR, etc) then check out the thread for that location. Also, check out tripadvisor.com. It helps narrow the resort choices after you choose the location. Good luck & happy planning!!
  5. Hi there & welcome!! I'm in DFW, too (Mansfield)! And I'm, also, trying to decide b/t Riviera Maya & Cabo. I've gone back and forth a billion times over the last month and am leaning more towards Cancun bc of price and easiness for our guests. Either way, both places are gorgeous so its a win-win whatever you decide I'm currently looking into the Moon Palace (Riviera Maya), but that will prob change again tomorrow ha! Good luck & happy planning!
  6. Hi Nicole! Wow! $85pp is alot for an all-inclusive from what I've come across in the short time I've been researching. I, honestly, think you can do whatever you want Nothing about destination weddings is traditional, so you basically get to choose what types of things you do or don't include. I doubt people will think you are cheap just bc you didn't spring for a dinner reception. Especially since they are probably mostly family members and close friends, anyway. I'm sure if they knew how much it would cost you, they would not want you spending that much since they're already paying for the all-inclusive plan themselves. I think hockeymom had a great idea about the restaurant reservation for your group! I totally get that what you're paying for is the privacy & set-up, though, so you just have to figure out what is best for you & fiance: being able to have all the people you want at your wedding or having some of the people you want and a private reception. Good luck w/making a decision!!
  7. Thanks kenlyn! I haven't heard back from the WC @ Dreams, yet, so your post is super helpful!!
  8. So cute!!! I LOVE the green ones, too! I'm watching the bags in my ebay right now, along w/the koozies, ha! Thank you so much for sharing w/us!!!!
  9. Ah I see! So helpful Erika, thank you!! I'm hoping to hear from Dreams soon so I can book there already!
  10. Congrats!! I'm a newbie & looking to marry in Cabo, too and have found so much info here! You're gonna love it! Check out the Cabo forum: Cabo Forum - Best Destination Wedding Forum It's full of valuable info! Also, just plug in what you're looking for into the search engine & tons will pop up for you Good Luck & happy planning!!
  11. he proposed on our 6yr anni this month! it'll be almost 7 by wedding time. i feel ya Taimeaka, time does fly! we've been together since i was 19, too!
  12. We're doing the same here in Texas, as well. It definitely seems way less hassle. My friend, whose getting married in the Domincan in September, said they told her it would be month before she got her marriage license, if they did the legal wedding there. That's way too long for me!
  13. Fantastic!!! Thanks for the great tip & helping me start thinking outside the box! We don't have the biggest budget so I'll definitely need all the shortcuts I can find!!
  14. I'm super frugal (my friend's call me coupon queen ha!) so these tips are right up my alley! I LOVE the Dollar Tree! I'll definitely share the wealth when I come across some tips as I get further in my plans. Thanks again ladies!
  15. Thank you!! Yet again, another oh so helpful thread I'm just beginning planning for my DW in Cabo and all the advice here is very much appreciated!!
  16. Congrats Vanessa! This site is fantastic!! Very helpful & friendly enjoy!
  17. After looking at Trip Advisor just to double check the places, like the ladies above suggested, I would say go with your gut. I find ,9 times out of 10, that's usually the one ends up being the best route. Plus you don't want to kick yourself later when you think "man, I should've followed my gut!" Either way, I'm sure whichever you pick will be great & everything will work out. You've proabably got it narrowed down to your fav 2 or 3 so they can't be too bad, right? Good luck on making a decision!!
  18. Thank you all for the friendly welcomes & wishes!!! I've been reading post after post and just love everything about this site! I've never planned a small party (much less a wedding!) so I can't even express how wonderful it is to be a part of the forum! Thanks again!!!
