EKKKK that sounds selfish AHHHH I feel the EXACT same way! FI wants kids yesterday but I do NOT. I agreed to 2 by the time I'm 35 but at this point I really don't even want kids. I want to do my own thing just like you said. I know I'm not ready. I'm hoping in a few years I will want them, but now I just don't..... I want life to be about me and FI, doing the things that we love, having Sunday afternoon naps and not being responsible for another being! I have nieces and nephews to get my 'kid' fix...one afternoon with them is enough! LOL! I'm so jealous of you. Even though I used to totally want kids I feel I don't anymore. I would rather travel the world and enjoy life. I have nieces and nephews like you said, I get my "fix". I wish my FI was on this thought level.

In my opinion, the reason the beading part doesn't "wow" you is because they applied it to the fabric. On the original, it looks as though the beading is directly on the skin (or at least on a very thin piece of fabric). To be 100% honest, I think you can find brighter and shinier appliqués (the beading part) at trim stores, or online. I think it would take someone maybe an hour or two to apply new appliqués if the straps were thinner, or removed altogether. I'll try and do some searching to see if I can find anything that will work. But the beads they used on the KO are more white and iridescent, whereas the beads on the original are silver and crystal. The dress also sits up higher on the mannequin compared to the model in the original, so that may be why it looks a little different too! Really nice job!! I would be very pleased if that were my dress...minor modifications and it will really "WOW" you!! Very true points. If you found something I would love to know about it. Thank-you SO much! Your comments made me smile, and you're right, I think when I receive it it will be WOW.

Alright girls, I finally received pictures. Please let me know what you think. Here is the link to the one I was going off of: Billie - by Sottero & Midgley Mine is missing some 'wow' factor. I need to tell them to jazz up the beading on the straps a little bit. Anyone have any ideas? I am not good with this stuff and want to make sure I give them a good idea of what I want. Does the front look a little funny to anyone? I'm still unsure what I think....

But they didn't listen to how I wanted a V and not rounded... oh well) The original looked best, but they can't bring it back now that they cut the fabric ( I should have asked them to only pin it first so I could see, but I felt I was getting too picky). The new one looks lobsided and big, but I guess I'll just see when it comes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed everything will look nice on! LOVE the back of this!!! I think it will look great once it's actually on. Overall how do you feel about it?

Hoping for one more donated suitcase or I'll buy a real cheap one at the Goodwill or something! That's a great idea! I'm planning on just checking the boxes on the plane. We're doing directly to our honeymoon as well so I don't want to take that stuff with me. TTD: Trash the Dress. For destination brides this involves getting in the ocean, ancient ruins, cenotes, all the fun places with your dress on and taking AMAZING pictures.

I finally had to tell myself to chill out about people booking. My girls/family have booked, but the groomsmen are not in any hurry. I spun myself into a frenzy but then decided it wasn't worth it. You're so right, in the end, you will be married. I'm going to live by your motto. Hope all is well with you!

I eat protein with every meal and no carbs after 12 noon. Do you ever buy protein powder (whey) and drink protein shakes (with water or almond milk)? Try, you'll feel so full and bloated that you won't be hungry! My supper every night is a chicken breast on a lettuce salad with pepper and spray butter. I'm not usually this strict, but I only have one wedding!! PM me if you need any more advice. I'm finally seeing results because I started practicing what I preach!

Did you ask them if there's anything they can do about the marks? For all you ladies out there, how long did it take before they sent you the first pictures of your dress? I know 30-45 days but I'm just curious how accurate that is. I'm on day 22 and already VERY anxious!!!!

I already know it is quite a bit big (I needed more material in the bust so I had to order up, knowing it would have to be taken in in the waist and hips). But I won't have it altered until closer to the wedding date as FI and I are now doing P90X and I'd like to drop 10 lbs before the wedding. Talking about exercise and diet, I agree with everyone else about taking in less calories than you burn and building muscle being key. I am already pretty active - I distance run, play soccer and volleyball but I don't really watch what I eat. I don't eat terrible but I am a carb lover and not really a fan of protein. I am 10 lbs heavier than when I met FI 3 1/2 years ago (we both are actually). So to shape up, we are doing P90X, both the fitness and diet plan. I am loving the fitness plan (I don't normally do weights but when I do I tone up a lot so that goal is making me enjoy the pain). I hate the diet plan because its all high protein but I'm sticking with it. OMG, my wedding is now less than 4 months away, I really need to get on top of my planning. Yikes. Haha I have the same problem! Hate protein? What are your normal protein sources? I only eat two starches in the morning and then the rest of the day is protein. But since I run two marathons a year this is only my wedding plan, not my year-round diet, since I wouldn't be able to make progress with my times on low carb (already been there, don't that, it didn't work). I've been a little meathead lately so I've gotten pretty creative with my protein if you need any help. I eat my body weight in protein whenver I can.....

So when is everyone getting their dress altered? Right now my dress can't even zipper all the way up so I can't get it altered now, but I don't want to wait too long and risk not getting the dress back in time. I have to get a bustle so if anything the dress needs to zipper up so I can at least get that done and if I drop the 20lbs in a reasonable time I might have to get my dress taken in a bit. I was hoping to take it in August, but I heard some brides do it 4 months plus before the wedding. My dress just came in and I'm getting the first fitting next week. I have huge boobs so it had to be ordered for them, which makes the rest of it a blanket on me. I'll do another in early August then one in September just to make sure everything fits perfectly.

773.25 + 44 miles last week (I had a busy week at work so I wasn't really on the boards during the week!) = 817.24
