Jess who did you book through? I am on the phone with Orbitz and they already rescheduled our flight with Mexicana. However I wasn't a fan of the flight times so I'm trying to change them. But I'm sure whoever you booked through will work with you through this. Â I emailed Jill in a panic. Poor girl, I can't leave her alone while on vacation!!

I have to confess that we're holding off doing the deed until the wedding (only about 3 months) and I'm going CRAZY. FI doesn't even seem to mind, and that is what is making me nuts. UGH. I'm being a baby about it but it's not like we sat down and talked about it, he just decided one day that we should stop for a while. I understand why, but it's just really p*ssing me off. Sorry to go off, I needed to get that off my chest.

You are TOO cute!! LOVE LOVE LOVE both of them! Â Wow I feel behind! I spent the last week back home and had my shower and bach party!! SO GREAT!! My mom and I also finished my invitations (message in a bottle) and they were mailed out Monday, so guests are already getting them. I am in LOVE with them!!! My TTD dress has been altered so it finally fits me and I have my 3rd fitting for my ceremony dress tomorrow. But now I'm worried about getting my decorations down there and also my OOT bags. 1/2 of our guests are being dbags (which it sounds like a lot of you ladies guests are too) and not booking, but still telling us that they are going. I'm going to do what another bride said and say 'too late' for those a month out. We have to pay for anything over 35 guests and we're right around that mark so every guest matters. Seriously, if someone were booking a caribbean vacation for themselves they wouldn't wait and book 2-3 weeks before, they would plan it out, right? Â

Cardio AND weights. Do weights in the am, cardio at night. The week before avoid all bloating foods (broccoli, beans) and ANYTHING with sodium!! Crunches won't help unless you get rid of the fat over the muscles. Avoid carbs after noon. This is nothing long term, I'm just doing it for the next 2 months. A month ago I was 135, I'm 129 now and I want to be 124 on wedding day. I'll message you some things. Oh, I manage a personal training company, so I'm around this 24/7. Â Â AHHH I LOVE this idea! A morning wedding will be BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to see pictures!! Â Ladies one of our clients is big on mottos and you've probably heard this but "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels". Â CJ I love love the dress, gorgeous! Â

I got told the same thing. If you have guests at the Gran, such as bridesmaids, they can come to your room early to get ready without paying the fee. This is only on your wedding day and only a certain time frame before the ceremony. I better double check on that. Ladies, who has the luxury package? I'm CONFUSED. In some places it says things like the bouquet and other items are free, then on the checklist there is a price. Can anyone help me with what is free and what isn't? Yikes, I'm 61 days away and haven't turned that in yet, oops. I'm a tad on the BEHIND side....

Ugh I have these darn bags to worry about!! I want to just stuff them full but FI doesn't want to break the budget. Then there's getting everything down there. YIKES! I have my 2nd fitting on my real dress tomorrow. Next week I'm going home for a week (Huge YAY) to do invitations, get my TTD altered and have my shower/bach party. I think after that it will feel more real. Wow, October is coming FAST FAST FAST!!!!! You ladies who are stressing about your weight. Eat protein at EVERY meal/snack and try to cut the carbs at night. I'm not an advocate for low-carb but I'm speaking from experience. Spend some more time on the weights and you can cut down on cardio. I have all sorts of tips for the week leading up to the big day if any of you want any. A lot of it is cutting that last water weight and not looking bloated (I know this from figure/fitness competitions). Ready or not it's coming soon!

You just gotta do what YOU want. This dress on here is for my TTD, the dress for the ceremony is authentic. Although I did consider wearing my TTD dress for the ceremony and trashing the real one, lol. In the end I won't do it, but I have experiences with real dresses and knockoffs and I'm pleased with both! If it will make YOU happy then do it, it's your day! (I'm not a selfish person in the least, but on my wedding day, I'm going to be!

I completely agree with all these "extras" being pathetic. I want to get everyone together the night before but don't want to pay extra. I'm thinking of just having everyone go separately or in groups of 8 or 10 and just go from there. We all may not be seated directly together but at least we'll be at the same place. I have about 40 guests so we would have to pay wherever we went.

Marathons, 1/2s, and 10Ks oh my!
RunningBride24 replied to greysgirl's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I'll try to find the one I used as a guideline. I did an Olympic tri last year and LOVED it! Such a challenge! Just make sure to do "brick" workouts (training 2 of the discipline's back to back) to get you ready for race day. Good luck! Welcome to the board Lua! Keep us posted if you decide to sign up! Congratulations on competing your 5k and 10k!! -

Marathons, 1/2s, and 10Ks oh my!
RunningBride24 replied to greysgirl's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
Since this will be my 6th marathon I have tweaked my plan enough to find what works for me. I only run 3 times per week, sometimes 4, even with my heavy training. One run is a long run, one is intervals and one is a tempo run. I don't do any easy/light runs. I'm working on getting my time around 3:30 for Boston so I'm doing a lot of speed workouts. I also lift a lot of weighs, but that will have to change in the month before the marathon. -
Totally agree with this advice! But I tend to gain weight when I'm training for a triathlon or marathon! Right now I'm working on muscle building. I only eat 1 carb (oatmeal) 3 days a week, 2 carbs (add sweet potato) 2 days a week and eat 3 carbs (2 servings sweet potato) on days I lift legs. I have focused my training around weight training. I lift weights for an hour 4-5 times per week. I do cardio at night 4-5 times per week. It's a lot of work and I eat 5-6 times per day, with protein at every meal but I've never seen such good results. I thought all my tri/marathon training would get me in shape, but I can honestly say right now I'm 'ripped' and that's a good feeling. Diet is the #1 most important thing in any training program.

Hey girls! I've been MIA for a few weeks, trying to get everything in order. I notice a lot of talk about the spa. I had some questions too. I'm brining in an outside vendor for my hair/makeup. Do we just get ready in my room? Do they bring everything they need? It's Fernando for those of you who have had/are having him. Also, are any of you booking mani's/pedi's? I'm torn at what to do. My wedding isn't until the 10th but we leave the 6th. I don't think a mani/pedi would hold up that long. Are you ladies booking yours at the spa? Thanks in advance!
