  1. I'll agree with the other comments, the color combo is beautiful! Nice work!
  2. Does anyone know what The Royal supplies you with for a beach ceremony? Do they put up the huppah? How much does it cost? Are there limitations to what I can decorate it with? Do they decorate it at all? I just realized I know nothing about how this process works and can't seem to find anything in my notes about it.

Thanks for sharing!! Whoa, Rebecca does monograms? I totally want her to do mine! LOVE this thread, so creative and so many great ideas.

Here is the Roman Gazebo on the Manor side of the resort, and I love how unique this location is, without the chance of onlookers getting into the back ground of our photos, as can happen on the beach: And we decided just to go with the "Beautiful Beginnings" package by Martha Stewart, offered by Sandals: For the ceremony, I also decided to give the guests fans to help with the heat and humidity, and I purchased these fans @ Michael's (a box of 18 was less than $20): Next order of business -- THE DRESS! I had originally purchased a very simple strapless A-line gown with no fuss or frills at David's Bridal (I had convined myself that I couldn't have my Dream Dress because we were having a DW), but I decided that in the end, it doesn't matter if it's too hot or not, I want MY PRINCESS DRESS, damn it! Here is my other love.....my Sottero & Midgley RSM 1038 gown in Light Gold, with pics on the model, and me at my final fitting: NEXT....the ACCESSORIES! More to Come..... Your dress is GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS! And it fits you perfectly. Thanks for sharing!
  8. I'm using Fernando as well. Any pictures you have would be greatly appreciated! Along with any information about his hair person. Also, how long did it take him to do your make-up? Did you all bring your own makeup? Thanks girls!
  9. I'm totally addicted! I found so many neat ideas and even more wonderful brides! I'm still 4 months out but I'm already sad to think about not being on here planning! I talk about the other girls like they're my friends I see every day. I love it!
  10. Do any of you notice results in the mirrow? Does it tone you good? I've been a marathon runner and when I'm not training I lift heavy to add muscle, but I'm looking for the tone now that my wedding is coming up. Do you see results? And after how many sessions/weeks? Thanks girls!

I loved the results...and it was worth every bit of pain! I didn't even have to think of shaving for my entire vacation and weeks after! The armpits I would definitely recommend... it was so nice not to worry about it ...or have any type of "shadow" perfect for wedding day!! I will be doing this again!! I'm glad you recommend it! I'm thinking of going for the Brazilian and armpits for my wedding. Question, do I start now? My wedding is in October, how soon before we leave should I do it so that it's at it's peak smoothness but not red and blochy. Also, how long do I actually have to 'grow it out' to get the best results? That part frightens me just as much as the actual wax, lol. Sorry if that's TMI.

Except I did the Vegas full 35 days after that. Not smart on my part. 2 marathons in 35 days, never again!

If you plan on doing them all with the resort then no issues, but if only your bouquet is being done there then you should definitely bring some ribbon you would use for your bouquet. Just a bit of advice. Also, make sure that your flowers match. mine didn't and at the time I was just going with the flow because it didn't matter, but you can definitely tell in pics. Ooo that's good advice! Since I plan on just getting mine from a vendor on 5th street.....

I have 9 months of planning. eek! I feel the same way you do!! Those 9 months go FAST so start now! I only have about 4 1/2 left and wish I would have gotten moving on stuff earlier. Plus it's so fun, you only (well, sometimes) get to plan a wedding once!

A little hint, don't waste your time trying to print them on an inkjet printer. They are your wedding invites! Take them to a printing shop and have them printed on a colour laser printer. At Staples, it was only 23.00 including tax and their "rip fee" to print 20 pages. Save your document as a PDF file though and bring it on a cd or USB because the shop might not have the fonts downloaded on their computer. That happened to me and I had to drive back home and re-save them as PDF files and drive back to get them printed! A big thank you to the many templates I looked through found on this site. There is no way I could have done it without them! So THANK YOU! Any questions just ask! I didn't take any photos of the invites in the envelopes, but I used red envelopes to pull together the colour scheme and printed address labels on my computer with the hibiscus flowers on them. I finished with some metallic tropical fish stickers just for fun. WOW, these look GREAT! Thanks for sharing. Good work on being done with them ahead of time too!

I'm a little psycho when it comes to running. I qualified for Boston with this last marathon so I was already eager to run run run! How was the 5k?

They told me cover is $10 per person and that they couldn't give us a group deal, but then they let us all in without paying cover anyway so who knows! It's probably best to just play it by ear. See below for info on the jewelry! Thank you! I LOVED my necklace!!!! I got so many compliments on it, and I was more excited about my necklace than my dress! Haha. I got it made from the designer at a little boutique Annabella's in Ann Arbor, MI...but they have sellers on Etsy.com that make very similar necklaces (and for a lot less!) I just didn't find them until after I had mine! Here is one seller I found: SaskiaVanRijn on Etsy but if you search "statement necklace" or "collar necklace" "bib necklace" "flower necklace" or something along those lines TONS of stuff comes up. You end up looking for hours though! I also found my bridesmaids jewelry on Etsy.com I think I paid around $240 for 6 necklace/earring sets which were silver/freshwater pearls. There are lots of shops in Playa with jewelry so if you don't find anything just head for 5th when you get down there! Lots of silver! Save your ink! At check-in they give you a map that's not very detailed, but they circle where your room is, etc. and also there are signs all over the resort showing you which direction stuff is. It's a huge place but not really that hard to figure it out, in one day you'll have it down. Plus it's fun to take a walk around and find stuff! Another thing I forgot...the Welcome/OOT bags... We passed most out ourselves and we only had SIX left for the end of the week so we asked concierge to pass them out for us...6 bags only. They said "Sure sure, no problem"... We gave them a list of the people, when they were arriving, and put name tags on the bags... 4 of the bags were mixed up and given to the wrong people, and 2 were never found. One of my bridesmaids never got her bag, so she didn't have her jewelry on wedding day. They never took responsibility for this and just flat out didn't care, which was NOT the way the rest of the resort worked at all. Only concierge was like this. So just FYI, I would pass my own bags out and save the hassle! I thought they could handle 6 bags, but I guess not. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm complaining, because it seriously was the best week ever! Minor details, just wanting people to be informed of small stuff to look out for! GREAT ADVICE!! I was curious too!! Jess--we're announcing the wedding party for sure. I may have my BIL do it since he's quite the entertainer. My friends are like yours, totally want to do it, we always do it at the weddings. We may have them walk in or stand up and do whatever they want. When I figure it out I'll let you know. I was out of town and WITHOUT INTERNET ALL WEEKEND. I was so anxious to get on the board. Um.....addicted much
