  1. Hi all, first I want to say that this topic may have been discussed on a thread already but I couldn't find one. Please let me know if it is already out there. Okay, I know that most airlines don't have a problem with brides carring on their dresses but my concern is FI's tux and the bridesmaides dresses. FI's tux was expensive and I just can't imagine wrinkling it up/or folding it in a suitcase. Please help.... Has anyone carried on the dress and the tux? (They are not going to fit in the same bag)
  2. It's crazy for me that you bring this up. I'm getting married in a couple of weeks and I'm actually pretty sad about losing my last name. I am 100% a daddy's girl and I love my last name. However, in my opinion, for me it's kind of a respect thing. I know it means a lot to FI to take his last name and he is number 1 in my life and I want to do it for him.
  3. I love this thread. I am a loan processor for a mortgage company.
  4. I will take all of the hand sanitizer if they are still available I am pming you.
  5. I will take all of the decks of cards if they're still available. Pming you
  6. In my opinion Estee Lauder has the BEST mascara. I've used theirs for the past year and I LOVE it. I went shopping last wknd and I bought their newest one. (I don't know the name of it....but I know that the wand vibrates) Anyway, I also LOVE their eyelash primer....it is a MUST have.
  7. ebredhawk: where did you get the supplies for your room key/tip money holders? I have already bought the wrist coils but I don't know where to get the pouches and I only need 15 or so.
  8. Oh I'm so excited to hear how your trip went. I'm getting married at Iberostar rose hall suites.
  9. I Pm'd you about the Bride iron on and starfish.
  10. I live in the midwest (Missouri) and I don't think I have ever been to a wedding where they didn't have a dollar dance. The men dance with the bride and the woman dance with the groom. At the weddings that I've been to the bride and groom are on the dance floor with the MOH and BM (who collect the money) From what I've seen in the past it's also a great opportunity for the photographer to get photos with some of your guests he/she probably other wise would not have. Everyone wants to dance with the bride and everyone wants their picture taken with her. Honestly, it's probably the one time where I see the most people on the dance floor.
  11. I was in a similar situation. I knew that the only person I really had to have at my wedding is my Daddy and FI said that he wanted his Mom there. So when we decided that a destination wedding was what we wanted we sat down with his Mom and my Dad and when they said they would go....that was all we needed to hear. I knew that our guest list would be really short but I really don't care. If we were going to have a wedding here at home I was going to have 7 bridesmaids now I'm only have 2. My best friends can't afford to go either. One of my BFF's just bought a house and is planning a huge wedding of her own...my other BFF just got married in March and her husband is laid off. I knew these things when we decided to go away. I'm okay with it. You have to decide if your going to be okay with it.
  12. What a great story. I posted something earlier about "taking care of eachother." John, my FI does a lot for me. I say I'm spoiled. He does a lot that I don't want to do like go out to my car and get stuff that I have forgotten. I in return do a lot for him. If John would ask me to get him something to drink I would without even thinking about it...and he would do the same. I was just telling my friend the other day that I believe that you should "take care" of each other. Kinda "baby" each other.
  13. LOL..I was in my friends wedding in March...when she threw the bouquet everyone just let it drop to the ground they were going to leave it there. I felt bad for my friend so I picked it up. We were engaged April 3rd.
