Hi Ashley, I know i probably asked you this already but you used the resort photographer right? How much was it? How long was he with you guys? Did he take photos of you and groom gertting ready, ceremony and beach shots? Thanks!!!! Erin

Hi, We are getting married on Feb 16th at MLD. Not sure if we are going to hire a photographer or just have friends/family take pics. Are there any photographers out there who will be at the resort during this week...looking for another wedding to shoot? Thanks!

Thanks for the review mary!!!! Does anyone know what kind of music is played during the ceremony? Before and while you walk down the isle...is it the trio or a CD? My fiance and i don't really feel the need to bring a CD as long as they play something nice. Also, did you have to book a time and place for the reception dinner or just wait until you get there. Oh, one more question. The wedding package says they will upgrade your room "if available"....did anyone have trouble getting the room upgrade? Thanks!!!! My ceremony isn't going to be until 6pm so i'm concerned about time/place since there will probably be a couple other weddings happening before us!

Thanks for that calender Ash. I figured they wouldn't book us at 6 if it was going to be dark.. We have tried to reschedule but they are booked solid with weddings!! We will just make the best of it and take super quick photos after the ceremony! I'm sure it will be a great day!

Hi, We just got our confirmed ceremony time. It's 6pm...in February. Has anyone else gotten married in Cuba around this time (in Feb). I just hope there is enough daylight (and time between ceremony and dinner) to take some good pictures. We don't want to see each other before the ceremony so we are not going to take pics until after. Thanks!!!!

I don't think it's fully booked but it's probably better to book late feb or early march b/c the planes looked pretty full mid feb....but it's best to ask the travel agent I think. Good luck!

We just booked Melia las Dunas b/c we heard such good things from other brides (and our travel agent raved about it). There are always people that will be picky (no matter what resort) so DON'T worry about it and have a great time!

Hi we just booked our wedding for feb/10 @ Melia Las Dunas. Does anyone have any advise for us on where to have the wedding (beach,etc), where to have the reception (15-20 people), photographers... Any tips on things i should look out for or talk to the wedding coordinatoe about would be greatly appreciated! We are very excited. The resort looks fabulous!!

Thanks everyone! We looked into majectic Colonial and it's around $2000pp. I feel WAY too bad asking people to pay that. Unfortunately the only week we can go is mid-feb so we are stuck with the high prices. I'm going to look into a couple of those other resorts suggested....

Hi, My fiance and I are looking for a resort to hold our wedding in Feb./10 in Punta Cana...coming from Toronto. Does anyone have a recommendation for a nice enough resort but good price. We are a pretty relaxed couple so it doesn't have to be 5* everything. We don't want our guests paying close to $2000 pp...help!!! Erin
