  1. I've never heard of using duct tape! How does that work exactly? Do you wrap it around you just under the breasts? Does that really hold them up I'm so curious about this now!!!!
  2. Congrats! The pictures never look as good as seeing it on a real woman in a natural setting!!!
  3. I agree with all the other ladies, just go in with an open mind and find a dress you feel beautiful in! Months after I bought my dress, I panicked, thinking my FI would hate my dress. He likes to see me dressed up (which isn't very often!) and often helps me pick things out, so he's been a little stressed over not seeing my dress. But he finally told me it wasn't that he didn't think he'd like my choice, he just can't wait so long to see it! We did go to a wedding dress fashion show last week and it turns out, most of the dresses he liked are very similar to mine, so I feel much better! Your FI will think you're beautiful no matter what, so choose a dress you feel confident in! And if you pick a v-neck dress, he'll probably have forgotten he even said that! LOL
  4. We chose June 1 (my FI said he'd remember our anniversary that way!) so that just happens to be a Tuesday. But it works, its in the middle of our trip, so our guests have time before and after to do their own thing!
  5. I just wanted to do a shout-out to MOH's, because mine has been so fabulous! I was having a mini-meltdown yesterday, up since 3am freaking out about my dress. I found it in July on my first shopping day, but since I love wedding dresses and wedding shows, I always see others that I love and wonder if I rushed into buying. I had actually photo-shopped a pic of my dress to see how I could alter it in different ways, how crazy is that!!! Luckily my BFF and I went to lunch and decided to go look at bridesmaid dresses, and she got me to try on the sample of my gown again and I was totally reassured. I really needed that and she was so awesome to talk me down before we even looked at the dress. She lurks on here sometimes, so Keek I just wanted to say YOU ROCK! I know I'm bride-crazy sometimes, but I love you!!!! (And I apologize in advance if I get even crazier!!) I hope everyone else is lucky enough to have a support system like mine! Cheers to MOH's!!!
  6. I'm so glad I'm not the only one! LOL Well this all started it was going to be so simple, but I then I picked a more formal gown and everything snowballed from there!!
  7. I just google-imaged strapless wedding dresses and came across the picture on a blog
  8. Hi everyone!! I just came across this dress in google search and I am wondering who makes it or where to get it?? So does anyone recognize it Thanks for looking!
  9. Hi everyone! I tried doing a search about tanning, so I apologize in advance if I missed a previous thread. I normally spend a lot of time outside in the summer working at a daycare, so I always get a great tan. But we are getting married June 1, 2010 and I will not have gotten any sort of tan by then. I would like to pre-tan so my pictures look great, but I have no idea what to do. Plus my MOH is white as can be and will need to tan so she doesn't burn!!! We need help! What's the difference between spray tanning and tanning beds? How far in advance should I start? How often does one have to commit to this? Does anyone in Winnipeg have a place to recommend? Thanks so much for your help!!!
  10. Great dress! I love how it might not look good on the hanger, but then its fantastic on! When I tried on dresses, there was one we picked and when I was trying them on, the woman helping me said she didn't think this one dress would work and I shouldn't bother trying it on, but I did and it was THE one! So glad I tried it on anyway!!! Congrats on finding yours and way to go BFF!!
  11. My biggest stress so far is hoping that everyone will be able to afford the trip. We have paid the deposits, but until everyone pays in full by March, I won't be able to be stress-free. Its just a small group, but its our close family and friends, so I'd hate for any of them to not be there!
  12. Congrats!! These decisions are so hard! Either choice will be amazing, but as others have pointed out you can stay on the beach and visit the cliffs. That way you get the best of both worlds!! Good luck planning!!!
  13. Have you checked out Breezes Grand Negril? Its an AI, very classy, more upscale. There aren't beachfront rooms, but there are oceanview rooms, and they are right next to the beach and close to the buffets/restaurants. You get a patio or balcony for the amazing view!!! Its a couple-oriented AI, ages 16+ only!
  14. I'd say smaller tables. I hate sitting at one end of a long table, it drives me crazy!!! (sorry I voted for the wrong one by accident!)
  15. If you are having guests stay at another resort/hotel, make sure you ask about wedding day passes. They can be expensive and sometimes only good for 4 hours!!!
