We will stay at the resort for a few days after, but so will our family and friends, so we take take a "real" honeymoon later. 26. Hi ladies! For those of you that packed your OOT goodies, did you have any trouble getting it through customs?? I just don't want to have it get stuck at the airport. Do they think its fishy you are traveling with so many little bottles of pepto and Tylenol?? LOL

My MOH's mom is a fantastic seamstress and will do all 3 dresses for us, but I need to find a pattern. Just wondering what patterns other people have used This is the dress I want to base it on: Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks!

Okay girls, so the update is I went in and tried on my dress! It fit!! So hopefully all my nightmares will be over! LOL The store said they will hold my dress as long as I need them to (at no cost), even if I don't get my alterations done there. So I'll probably keep it there until April or so and then take it to my MOH's mom for the alterations. I'm so relieved!

So I got the call ladies...my dress came in today!!! But now I have so many questions, and the store was closed by the time I got the message. I tried to search on here for answers, but the search came up with nothing. So here's the deal: Originally, my MOH's mom was going to alter the dress (just minor stuff: shorten hem and straps) and keep the dress for me. But her son has moved back home with her and he smokes, so I'm not crazy about having my dress in a house with smoke. Since my wedding is in June, that's a long time to store it. So how do things work with dress shops: *Do they keep your dress til the wedding only if they alter it? *Do they only keep it only until the alterations are done? *Do they charge to store it?? My consultant originally said the alterations would be under $100 because its so minor, which isn't too bad (if its actually true!) But anymore than that is kinda stretching the budget. I guess I'll just have to go down there this week and get all the details. But I'd love to hear what others have done so I know what I'm getting into! Also any tips for talking with the seamstress would be awesome!!!! Thanks!

Hey Girls! I don't have a dog to worry about, but I do know that my FI cousin have used Waldenway before and their dog loved it. I don't know about costs or anything, but I do know the dog loved the lake! LOL Now granted its a bit out of the way (they live in St.Anne), but its probably worth it to know your dog is happy. I LOVE Dollarama! They built a new one right at my bus stop and I always run in between buses! LOL So far I've bought : *hand sanitizer *first aid kits *flip flop luggage tags I plan on buying: *mini photo albums *chips (I love the medium sized bags!) *cards I'm sure I will find loads more too!

Hi ladies! I've been thinking about what I want to give my FI as a wedding gift, and I love the idea of Boudoir Photos. But I am just not confident enough to get a photo shoot done in my undies! LOL My FI has always joked about getting a tattoo of me as a pin-up girl because he loves the look of a curvy, sexy woman, and he says that is how he'd describe me. I happen to have an artist for a BFF/MOH, so I was thinking about asking her to do a portrait of me as a 50s style pin-up girl to give to him as a wedding gift. I guess I'm just looking to surprise him! Do you think this would have the same effect as a boudoir photo shoot?? Any thoughts would be appreciated! Happy New Year everyone!

The dress is amazing and looks great on you! I bought my dress the first day I went shopping and had second thoughts after, but I got to try on the sample again recently and was reminded of why it was "the one". It was lots of fun to try on dresses and be the centre of attention and I can see why some brides go again and try more on, but I think more often than not they end up with the first dress because it is "the one". Just follow your heart on this one!!!

I think ordering online is the way to go! All my bms are local, but 2 of the 3 gm are out of town (one in Canada and one in Taipei!!!) So we thought ordering online was easiest. We are getting linen shirts from Island Importer (islandimporter.com) and they will just purchase tan pants on their own. Good luck!!!

I'm surprised so many of you are doing BBQ's too! We are going to do ours at a local park where you can rent tables, and my Fi wants a Pig Roast (he's still trying to convince me, I can't stand to see the poor little pig there!)

YAY!) *found bridesmaid dresses I love, just need to find the material I like to have them made *found groom/groomsmen shirts (not ordered yet) *social: booked venue, hired D.J, collecting prizes It seems like a lot and not nearly enough at the same time!!!
