Welcome! My advice is definitely do research, you can almost always find a better price!!! Also, talk to a travel agent. Even if you end up booking online, they will be able to get you started. Plus if you do use one, they organize everything for you! It was the best thing I did! Good luck!!!

I liked mine right away and compared it to every other dress I tried on after. For me I loved the way I looked and felt in it. I too felt at first that I loved the dresses just not me in them because I am unhappy about my weight gain, but the dress I chose made me feel beautiful and sexy, not to mention it made me look 3 sizes smaller (yay corsets!). I realized that the "destination" dresses were made of material that was not at all flattering on me, I needed more structure. So I went with a slightly more formal dress. Maybe you need to open up the range of styles you're trying on. Don't settle for a nice dress, you gotta love it!!!! Good Luck!

Hi everyone! I'm hoping for some advice on my Fiance's wedding day attire. Originally I thought I would get a simple dress, probably short and so my fiance was just going to wear nice shorts and a nice shirt. But when I went shopping for my dress, I bought a more formal style dress that is long and elegant. Now I don't know what my guy should wear? I don't want him to look out place, but I also want him to be comfy! Plus he's a large teddy bear, so his size limits some of his options. And I don't know how to talk to him about it without giving away too many details about my dress!! Have any of you told your partner the style of your dress or is it top secret? Thanks for the help!!!!

Pick the church you love! Its not like a regular wedding, you are all on vacation anyway! I say go for the one you love, I'm sure your guests will love it too! I don't know about busses in Mexico, but I went on a 45min.rented bus ride in Jamaica with a group to get to a special event and it was so much fun! We sang to Bob Marley the whole way there and back! See if you can bring a mix CD your guests will enjoy!!!

I just bought my dress yesterday and thought I would see what other people spent. I first went to one of the oldest shops in Winnipeg, where my mom bought hers 29 years ago and fell in love with a Venus dress. It was $600, which is pretty reasonable. We decided to look around a bit more, but after a few shops nothing compared to how I looked in this dress. But on a lark we decided to try one more store and I found the exact same dress for $485. Needless to say we picked it up then and there! I was shocked I even bought one on my first day out! My alterations should be under $100, so at the end of the day that's not too shabby. I didn't really have a budget, but the price is totally reasonable!

That's a dress by BCBG Max Azira. I couldn't find out where it would be sold. I do love it and if anyone finds it I'd love to know where!! (Maybe as a reception dress!!!!) I went shopping and found THE dress for me. Turns out, like some of you smart women suggested, when I tried on the right long dress, I loved it. I tried on some short dresses, but they looked terrible on me. I found the same problem as Aqua32marine, they were overcompensating on beads and glitz, which took away from the carefree look I wanted. So I went with Venus gown, I'll post some pics later, with a simple look that accentuates the right features in the right way! I didn't know a wedding dress could make you look thinner, I always thought the opposite!! For all you short-dress girls, good luck.

I found this dress online.I think its gorgeous but I don't know if I could pull it off! (I'm such a simple girl!!)

So far I haven't run into this problem *fingers crossed*, but if it was me I would make it clear that only the people my Fiance and I invited are going to be included in the wedding and any planned group activities. Also, while you can't ban them from the resort/hotel, you don't have to include them in your Group Rate (if you are getting one!!). That should make it harder for them to come! In the end its YOUR wedding day and it shouldn't be ruined by uninvited guests!!

We chose AI with no question! That way all the food and drinks were covered and then anything extra was up to each person. It also seemed easiest and the best way to organize our group in one place, and still get the variety of different restaurants at the resort, ect.

Yeah but only online Its like I have a picture in my had and I can't find anything to match. I'm going to look at dresses for the first time on Saturday with my mom and best friend, so hopefully I'll figure out what I want!!!!
