What is everyone doing about not spending the night together before the wedding? My mom is pretty big on this tradition, even though I live with my FI, but since our wedding isn't until 4pm, its not like I won't see him around the resort!!!

Oh ladies, I think you've all been to my house lately!!!! My man is so bad for losing stuff, and he gets up way earlier than I do, so I HATE having to get up and help him look when I could be sleeping in!!! And cleaning, come on, its the 21st century, we both work full time, why do I have to ask him to do things!! I did a major clean on Sunday, and he came home and asked what I did all day and I lost it! LOL I hate whining about cleaning, but if I don't then he would never think to do anything! I totally needed this rant today! LOL

I don't think the wedding party needs to be even, but my FI disagrees! We had 3 on each side, but now his friend who was to be a bridesmaid has had to back out for financial reasons. I don't want to ask anyone else, we still have 5 important people standing up for us, that's a lot of love! So I say who cares! Now I just need to convince my FI!!

I finally figured this out! This is my dress. I swore I wouldn't buy one my first day looking, but my mom, BFF and I fell in love with this one. And even though we fell in love with it at the first shop we went to, we explored a few more and found it for $115 cheaper! Yippee! Its more formal than I thought I would get. But who can resist a dress that makes you look 3 sizes smaller!! (Gotta love corsets!) Now I just need to figure out what my man will wear! He had his heart set on being comfy in shorts. Is this too formal for that? Should I suggest pants? Any suggestions would be great!

Can anyone tell me exactly what cancellation insurance covers? Some of my guests do not want to purchase it because they know we won't cancel our trip, but I'm worried about unforeseen events that would cause us problems, and then people might lose their money. Thanks!!!

We are finally booked at Breezes Grand Negril, Jamaica and confirmed our ceremony for June 1, 2010!!!! I was so excited last night I could hardly sleep! Now that we have the package options I can actually plan the fun stuff instead of just travel arrangements! I just had to tell someone! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!!!!!

These stories are great!!! I went to my brother's best friends wedding in Ottawa and it was Pot Luck, which is hard when half the guests are staying in hotels. It led to a lot of chips and beer! The kicker was that the reception was held at the bride's uncle's farm in an open barn (just a roof, no walls) where a "toilet" was set up with a tarp around it for privacy. I almost couldn't find it because you had to walk about 20 feet away from the barn on wooden planks in the pitch black! I slipped and almost fell in the mud. Then the "stall" was barely lit by a torch on the outside and you had to hold the tarp closed while you did your thing. I was gone so long my mom came looking for me and she almost fell too!

My MOH and I were just talking about this!!! I want to wear my dress, but she's afraid it will get trashed and I won't beable to keep it! Decisions, Decisions!!

Hey girls! I've been thinking about flowers all week. With our package we get a bride's bouquet and groom's bout. included. But what to do for bridesmaids, parents, ect?? I'm wondering if we should order local ones (but I haven't gotten all the info from what's available/cost) or get silk flowers, which can be used for the AHR too. So I'm just wondering what everyone else is doing? And if anyone from Winnipeg knows where to get silk flowers, that would be great!
