    I'm so glad I'm not the only one out there feeling this way! I LOVED my dress the day I bought it, 3 months ago. But I see so many dresses I love, maybe I should have waited! Tomorrow I'm actually going to the store to buy my flower hairpiece, and I'm gonna try the dress on again. I hope I feel the same way I did the day I bought it!!!!!

    We did ours in September and thats 8 months before our wedding. You will feel like a huge weight is lifted when you do book, then you can focus on the fun stuff!!!

    I know the idea of this is terrible. I hate the idea anyone can look up my personal info online. Luckily there wasn't anything too important on me, just my graduation. But it was funny reading about the not so good things people who share my name have done. Their are some shady people with my name out there! Hopefully I never get mistaken for them!!!

    Thanks for the help everyone!!!! I am waiting to hear back from my WC what my options are for a different cake, but in the meantime my friend's husband is a chef and has offered to make me a Jamaican Cake so I can sample it. It sounds like a very interesting cake, but I don't know if very many people will like it!

    So we hit The Bay yesterday and like you Scrouse, we didn't find much. We did have fun picking some small appliances and gadgets, but we are going to go to Home Outfitters next, which I think will be way better! Who would have though picking out dishes and silverware would be so hard!!!!

    Included with our wedding package is a "traditional Jamaican wedding cake". I googled it and it sounds like a fruit cake with rum! I'm not sure if this is exactly what I want for my wedding cake, although its appropriate to our surroundings and we are having a traditional North American wedding cake for our AHR. So I'm just curious, has anyone tasted this cake and if so, what do you think? And in general, are you going with the package cake or upgrading to something else? Thanks for the input!!

    Hi everyone! My FI and I are going to The Bay tomorrow night to start our gift registry. We weren't going to do one, but everyone has been asking, and since so many of our friends and family can't make it to Jamaica, we thought it would be easier to provide them with a list instead of having them guess. Plus I think our moms will rope me into a bridal shower too! I am so nervous! I can never decide on anything and have no idea what I want, never mind getting my FI to agree with me!! I was hoping some of you who have done yours already might have some advice for me!!! I'll take it all!! Thanks!!!

    Thanks for the info krayzeekitty!! I've heard anywhere from $2500-$6000 for alcohol. Obviously some of my friends have high quality taste in booze. We aren't drinkers, so I don't feel the need to buy anything fancy! I really want to focus on prizes, that's why I go to socials! We just got a great deal on a BBQ, so that's one grand prize down!!! I'd love to hear prize ideas from everyone out there!!!

    I just realized the same thing. We really wanted dinner at the French Restaurant but I just found out they will only seat 10 people together at one time. Should we eat in shifts, lol!! I don't know, I guess a per person dinner is cheaper for our small group than a 300 person wedding at home. But still, we picked AI for a reason!!! GGRR!! I feel your pain!

    I get so worried reading so many stories about WC going AWOL so close to the date. So far mine has gotten back to me the next day, but I wonder if that will change as the high season begins?

    Congrats! Jamaica is very popular with everyone here! Negril is a beautiful place with a fabulous beach. I'm sure you'll find lots of places to choose from. Keep in mind that some AI's are Adult only. I'm partial to Breezes Grand Negril, because that's the only place in Jamaica I've visited! Good Luck!!!
