  1. I'm glad things worked out for you! Stupid swine flu :-p
  2. I love this idea! I've already made cards, sorta scrapbook style, but with no pics. Maybe I can add some
  3. I'm glad you found someone who would do small orders for a reasonable price. I think they look really nice!
  4. I found some at an office supply store. The package has 10 sheets that are 8.5x11. I estimated that I could fit 6 logos on each page, so one package of the sticker paper would make 60 logos for me - not bad. Here are the details: Avery Clear Sticker Project Paper (Ink Jet) #4383 I think I paid something like $13 for the one package. You could probably find it on sale or use a coupon to bring the price down a little.
  5. I'm thinking I will probably pay for my BMs dresses...I will only have three, and I know finances are tight for them. I don't want them to be burdened by participating in the wedding. I want them to enjoy it too! If I have to have one less flower per centerpiece or something to make up for the cost, so be it
  6. I vote for wearing the e-ring on your right hand and switching it back to the left after the ceremony. If your fingers are different sizes, I don't think anyone would care or notice if you had your e-ring on your left hand during the ceremony and flipped it and the band afterwards. Maybe mention it to the officiant ahead of time so they don't make a big deal about it - "I'm worried about my ring falling off if it's on the other hand, so I'm keeping it on my left!" Done
  7. I guess it makes sense, but at the same time all the parts of your wedding are to celebrate you *becoming* this one entity, represented by your monogram...so I can see going either way
  8. This makes me sad It was nice of bittersweet to comment/reply, but it's not cool if she isn't actually doing what she said she would. boo
  9. I just got the straw fans I ordered and I was going to wrap ribbon around the handle, but I never thought about adding a flower! Love it!
  10. I agree about the best part being NO minimum order! What a great find for anyone not having the usual min. order of 50 or 100 at their wedding!

We decided on a DW not for the money aspect of it possibly being cheaper, but because we live in Indiana and there is not a nice place to get married outside unless I want to spend like 10,000 (just for the wedding). So that's what made us decide to go the beach b/c it's cheaper than that and much prettier! To each his own. Ding ding ding! I did not choose a DW for the cost OR the ease of planning. I choose a DW because there is no beach in Indiana!! (Okay, technically there is, but I'm talking about a BEACH beach, like with an ocean!) I looooooove the beach and can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else, but most friends and family can't/won't be able to make it that far from home. So, AHR it is!
  12. This weekend I found some bags at Michael's that I thought would work well for OOT bags. They are kind of a cerulean blue color with lighter blue shells and starfish printed on them. The base of the bag is round (about 10" in diameter), and they are about 12" high with some decent handles (8" or so?). Now they are NOT canvas but they are a great lightweight material, kind of like the reusable grocery bags I guess. For $2.50 each, it makes a nice bag to take to the beach and not worry about getting it dirty or having to pack it. Just thought I'd share! I will try to post a pic, but I'm not sure I can yet..
  13. This is still a long way off for me, but I HAVE been thinking about it! Pretty much the same - one per couple, one per single, but separate/different bags for the kids so they can have their own little thing going on
  14. What a great deal! I looooove Coach purses, and I love them even more when I can afford them!
  15. Congratulations! My FI and I just got back from a trip to southern Florida to check out beach wedding locations. We wanted to avoid the hassle of passports and also give our guests the option of driving to our wedding if they so chose. All in all we visited 8 resorts and took tons of pics. I would be happy to share any of that info with you, just let me know! Ashley

  17. Wow! I was looking at a couple websites last night to price customized bridal party shirts....4 shirts were going to cost $120+!! I'm definitely going the DIY route after seeing how nicely yours turned out
  18. Saturday, May 2 was Tony's 28th birthday. It was a nice day, and he suggested going for a bike ride. Before we left, he asked if I was bringing my camera with me. I'm thinking, "What in the world am I going to take pictures of? It's a bike ride!" But he just said, "What, I can't have pictures of my birthday?" This made perfect sense to me and I suspected NOTHING! Little did I know... We rode for quite awhile and I was getting increasingly annoyed because he kept trying to talk to me and you just can't hear someone when they're riding in front of you! Somewhere on the way back, he wanted to follow a little path that branched off the trail. I thought, "Oh lord, now we're going off-roading?!" Still not suspecting a thing, too busy being annoyed. At the end of this path was a river that was flooded from all the rain we'd had recently. We stood and looked at the river...watched a couple ducks think about getting in the river and then change their minds...looked at the river some more... This was pretty unlike Tony to spend so much time quietly observing nature (he's a much more on-the-go kind of person), but I thought he was trying to be nice by letting me rest and enjoy the surroundings. Ha! After a bit, he said he was tired and wanted to sit down. I sat in front of him and leaned back against his knees. He said, "Tell me a story," and whenever he says that I launch into the story of how we met and everything that's happened since then, so I began the story: "Once upon a time I met this boy and he called me and I was too afraid to answer the phone so I let it go to voicemail..." Etc., etc. I was reaching the end of the story when Tony said... "And then we got married." I turned around and gave him a look like 'knock it off, you know how sensitive I am about that subject, don't even start with me.' Instead of making a smarta$$ comment like he normally would, he just kept looking at me expectantly. I wondered why he wasn't saying anything but still didn't suspect anything. I just thought he was trying to mess with me. I felt the tiniest nudge at my side, looked down, and literally jumped off the ground. My brain couldn't even register why I had done that, but then it started to sink in...he was holding a ring!! I stared and stared at it, trying to tell myself to pay attention, this is really happening!! After what seemed like quite awhile but probably wasn't very long, Tony said, "..You didn't answer me...?" I shot back, "You didn't ask me anything!" with a huge smile on my face. He grinned sheepishly. "Oh yeah...will you marry me?" YES! (And then we took lots of "birthday" pictures... What a sly boots he was!)
  19. I am amazed and impressed by all the ladies who had to wait 5, 6, 7+ years (unless you were younger and it made sense, of course). Anthony proposed to me on the third anniversary of our first date, and I thought THAT was a long time!!
  20. These stories are great I've never had an "aha" moment exactly, but every day I know he's the one quite simply because he continues to love and support my crazy a$$!
