  1. Oh how I wish I could get FI to sit still long enough to even look at the website, much less choose fabric/color, much less get measured! 5+ months is still enough time, right?? Seeing pictures of these suits on real guys might help convince him. Can't wait to see some on here! (suits, not real guys! lol)
  2. Place them on tables at your reception and have guests write notes to you, give advice, tell stories, draw pics, etc., etc.?? They ARE super cute!
  3. I did the same thing! Lurked and lurked, eventually joined - it's great!
  4. I don't really have any advice as far as locations go, but I wanted to say hey to another July 2010 bride!
  5. Origami seahorses - cute!! I'm curious about how you made the bath salts?
  6. Can I just say, Vistaprint ROCKS! I have gotten so many things from them for only the cost of shipping! STDs (oversize postcards), photoshare website cards (business cards), thank you cards (standard postcards)...I hope to do my menus and programs through them as well!
  7. I'm in the opposite situation, sort of. FI and are both teachers, but FI has had a 2nd job for the last 10 years (so it wasn't a wedding-based decision)! Lately he has been expressing some frustration that he's working so much to pay for the additional expenses like my ring, our new house, our wedding... I totally commend him for having the 2nd job, but I can barely stay sane with one! Is that bad?
  8. I wonder what color you would suggest if the wedding colors are teal and brown with hot pink BM dresses (don't ask...)? I'm hesitant to choose hot pink since it's not technically an "official" wedding color... Suggestions anyone?
  9. Wow, these timelines seem early to me! I don't know why, I figured send the invites out like 2 months before and have the RSVPs due a month before. Is that more for traditional weddings, or did I totally pull that out of thin air?? Here I am thinking I have plenty of time yet to get my invitations made, but I'm only 5.5 months away!
  10. Cute! I'm still trying to remember how that bells one goes... My friend used it for her response cards a few years ago and I thought it was funny!

Speaking of Vaseline, I just ordered something called Body Glide (I'm pretty sure I read about it on here) that is supposed to be fantastic for chub rub, blisters, etc. Anyone else use this product? It got great reviews on amazon.
  12. Yep! I checked it out; obviously I have not ordered from them but I love the idea! Haha, not much help, I know!
  13. Oh lord, I'm gonna need a little better response rate than that! What about that bells one.. Be there with bells on, be there but no bells, etc. How does that one go again? Any other ideas for NON-standard response card wording??
  14. My sister and I are getting married a month apart, but so far we've managed to avoid most of the drama... She is 3 years younger than me and has been with her FI 2 years less than I have been with mine; yet they got engaged 2 years before they planned to marry, and because of that I had to plan our wedding to be after theirs...? They actually ended up picking the exact date we had wanted (June 12 - the date interracial marriages became legal!). Oh well! Once we got through the initial tension of deciding on our own wedding date, things have been relatively calm. My only beef now is that my mom isn't helping me plan at ALL but is pretty much doing everything for/with my sister...which is fine, except she doesn't even seem interested when I talk to her about my stuff... Wow, I seem to have a little more drama than I thought! Sorry to semi-hijack...
  15. Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to go check it out right now
  16. How wonderful to find a guy with such commitment to you AND your daughter!
  17. Adorable! Things always work out the way they're supposed to, don't they

I would love to be able to have my furry children in our wedding too!
  19. Wow, thanks for sharing! I'm starting to realize that would have been an incredibly smart thing to do with my STDs!
  20. Wow! What made you change your mind, if you don't mind my asking? You definitely came to the right place for tons of great ideas and advice
