    I got a little irritated reading about your dilema so I don't think you are over reacting. Waiting for 45 minutes because they were talking would be so annoying. I have never heard of a physio therapist wearing the outfit you described (I have been to only a few though). Maybe you could try asking him to step into your shoes and see if he would feel uncomfortable if the tables were turned.

    I have looked at a few resorts in this area and found that the majority required you to be at the resort two full days before the wedding. We decided to go with the symbolic ceremony as well to save some stress and paperwork.

    We are planning to do the legal ceremony before we leave. I think that guests will understand if we tell them that the requirements are too stringent. Blood tests, translating documents, witnesses, etc. add stress that couples don't need on their wedding day. One other thing that may become a plus for getting married before is the "honeymoon specials" some hotels offer. In the fine print it will sometimes state that the legal marriage certificate needs to be presented to get the special deals. Not sure how strict they are with this or if all resorts do this though.
