  1. Hi Ladies...I had had the unfortunately luck of having to call off a wedding after my groom got cold feet. None of my items were used, but I can't bare to have them in the house any longer. Take a look at what all I have. I bought 2 pair of heels because I could not decide. $20 each White bridal handbag. $ 15 Large Grey/Silver Flower (can we worn in hair or pinned to dress) $10 Canvas Black and White Flower Girl Tote $10 49 Lilac Favor Boxes with Ribbons (NEW) $15 If you need the item shipped I can check on shipping cost. If you are local to the D/FW area we can arrange a time/place for pick up if desired. I have more items that include the rhinestone headband that I was going to wear, mine and my BM's earnings that we were going to wear, sewing kits for BM gift bags, travel kits for GM gift bags, and more. I will post ASAP. I just wanted to get this up and see how it works first. I'm new to this obviously. Contact [email protected] Thanks, Cyndi
  2. Cinnamon- I hope this helps. I used it to figure out what would be best for us. If the link does not work look at page 382 about half way down someone posted it...I found it very helpful. http://www.amresorts.com/wedding_gui...ding-guide.pdf
  3. MaR- Your pics are beautiful. We were at Dreams July 2nd for a site inspection. Your pics really made the idea of a wedding on the pool deck come to life. You look like you had such a great time! Congrats!! I was wondering what time you had your ceremony and reception? I loved how you had a perfect mix of daylight photos and night time photos. Also...to any brides with more than 20 guests: Our guest list is growing and I am really worried about how high the bill is going to be if almost all of our 75 guests happen to decide to come. Is there a rate for groups larger than 50 or anything? Or is it the cost of the wedding plus roughly $100 per person after 20 guests Eeeek!
  4. Thanks ladies, you are right about night life etc. And I talked to my TA today and she mentioned a bar crawl excersion. I am actually thinking of only doing music/dancing at the reception for a couple of hours and then heading to the disco. All of the young guest will go, and the older ones and children will want to head to bead. That way we get to do the first dance, father daughter dance, etc, and then go party away from children and grandparents....just a thought.
  5. Okay, so me and my fiance took a scouting trip to Mexico a couple of weeks ago. DRC by far was the best location as far as the look and the rooms etc. Absolutly beautiful! However, I am so nervous to book because we have a lot of partiers coming as well and I am afraid they will be bored and complain and I will feel bad. My close friends keep telling me that it is MY wedding and if they don't like it they can take a cab to go out to a club. The cab ride to Playa or Cancun is like $30 one way though. Now I hear that they do not have nightly shows! Eeeek, I didn't know that....how could I have missed that! Torn about what to do =(
  6. I love MP and have seen so many great reviews, but my TA says they don'e have a great working relationship with MP because so many clients tell them that MP pushed time share sales really hard on guests. Does any one know if this is true?
  7. The Now Jade is one of our top runners as we decide on a resort. I hate to hear about the cake, flowers, and not telling guest where to go. =(
  8. Thanks to everyone for your kind words!
  9. Hi, My name is Cyndi and I started planning our wedding last summer with our date of June 12, 2010 at the Royal. However, my mother had some health concerns this past fall and so we had to push back the wedding since we were concerned she may not be well in time for the wedding. (I am an only child since my sister passed away in a car accident when I was 9, so it is very important for her to be there and be healthy.) So, now I am back planning for summer of 2011. We decided not to go with the Royal since there were some issues with having my daughter in the room prior to the wedding (it is an adult only resort). We decided that it might be better to go family friendly. So, we are planning a scouting trip for July and I can't wait to set the date! PS-My TA has been fantastic through this all and so accomodating with us having to change dates and move things around. I am not sure if I can mention who she is or if that is against the rules. But if you live in Dallas she is fantastic and I can e-mail you if you need more info. Happy planning to everyone!
  10. Okay, so with a little more looking I found the glass bottles and boxes..lol Silly me, they were on the same site. I am wondering about the sticker inside the box. Possibly from the site that sells the hang tags?
  11. That is a great idea. I agree that most thank you cards you just glance at and throw away. I think your guests would love and cherish this. Don't forget to tell us what site you did it on and tips for making it great...and LOTS of PICS. =)
  12. Okay so these are the most amazing invites I have seen! I told my mom about them and she got super excited and offered to help us make them..lol I am trying to locate all of the supplies needed. I found plastic bottles that look like yours, but your bottles look glass. Also, where did you get the boxes and the sticke that is inside the lid of the box? And one last thing...would you mind sending me the template?? =) You are truley creative! Thanks a million for sharing your great ideas, Cyndi [email protected] Cyndi
  13. Classadiva, I wish I could see the pics, but it says they are moved or deleted. I am plus size too, and fear the camera. Cyndi
  14. I have a few questions after looking over the web sites. Please let me know if you have this info.. How far is Jade to shopping etc? How far is Saphire to shopping etc? What are the possible locations to hold the ceremoney? I have to do a gazebo because my mom cant walk on the sand. Thanks! Cyndi
  15. So I found an add for Paradisus in a magazine and in doing research realized they changed the name. It also looks as though the have updaed the decor etc? I have been doing research on so many resorts that they are all starting to blend together. This one seems great. I am still going to do some more research, but it makes me feel good to know there are other brides booking here.
  16. Hi all! I am considering the Moon Palace as a possible location for our wedding. I went on trop advisor and saw a review that said the water at Moon Palace is merkey. Those of you who have been...is this true? Is it not the crystal blue water that I am imagining in Cancun areas? Thanks, C
  17. soon to be powers, do you have any of your photos back yet...I am having Claudia shoot our wedding and would love to see your photos! CYndi
