Yes I just went in May and was very upset that I paid for the so called "ocean view". I went to complain and they asked me one question "can you see the ocean", I said a little and they said that was all they could do for me. Even if it is a small shot, its still considered a ocean view. I had a view of the pool like the pictures above. After a hour I got over it because the resort was beautiful. May I ask where you booked you vacation? Im looking for a travel agency!

Yes I can understand why you are upset. Most all of them do all of that for you but she still should have went over all that with you once you decided to book with her. Im sure you guests will appreciate it!

Or maybe you can change the resort and go with the Riu of negril or Riu tropical bay, just a suggestion if nothing else works out. Hope this helps

This is exactly what I am talking about, the information is confusing. I was told that see the semi private reception comes with the free package but if you have more than 20 people you have to book the private one for $500. I guess the only thing left to do is see once we get there!

I actually do understand that and never thought about it that way because she is straight forward. What I did was contact the RIu weddings and they sort of explained it to me. From my understanding if you book the free wedding and lets say have 45-50 you have to book the private reception is that correct?

This is very confusing. You guys are saying people tell you there is no max for the free package but I just emailed Chadelyn and she told me the opposite. Does anyone have the email you can forward to me. I told here there were lots of women asking this question on this forum and we should all be getting one answer and not two differnt answers. This is the email I received from him when I asked about the 2010 included photos: thanks you for your email. There is a lot of things I can do for you - but one thing I can´t - and that is to interfere into RIU´s Politics. If they don´t offer the photo package anymore that was there in 2009, I´m not in the position to do something against it. What I can do, is to work in other resorts. I did that already. You name it, I´ll be there. Another thing I can reassure you is that i´m fair with everyone and nobody´s getting special deals which are cheaper than others. That is my base of the business. I would be happy if you wnat to follow the compliments I´m getting all over the internet .- I´ll be worth it. Like today, we had 3 weddings and a whole lot of rain. Other photographers would quit and blame it on the rain. I´m going for great pictures though, whatever it takes. I took all the delays ( waiting time of the brides ) on my shoulders and didn´t have much of a break anymmore between the 3 weddings. And in the end, everyone´s happy with the pictures, see a comment that I received in the email before your´s. Amazing isint it, they don't want you to bring outsiders and then take away the photos offered in the package

I have a question because I was originally going with the Royal package with 40 people and i might end up having 60 people instead. If I go with the free package will they still do the decorating for 60. Like I plan to get the white chairs ($50), will they ask for money to set all of that up. And as far the dinner (semi-private) will it be a problem to have all 60 people there. The 60 people package is like $2200, will I spend that much in BASIC upgrades. Ill send chandelyn a email and one i receive her answer ill let you all know what she said. If you have advice please give it!

I though about having my reception at the ruins(dunnsriver falls dinner) it is beautiful and cost a little more than the poolside reception. I almost feel like there is no way I am paying extra for my family to eat at a all inclusive resort?

I wanted to be sure to let all of you know some news I just received from the ROR. If you are planning to use the photshop they have changed the picture package. For the two larger packages PHOTOS ARE NO LONGER INCLUDED. I was a little shocked because I hear they gave you llike 70 pictures free and not basically its the same thing as hiring someone outside.
