  1. Congrats Tina! Can't wait to hear more about your Grand Cayman plans!
  2. Welcome Susan! Congrats on your engagement and happy planning!
  3. Hi Jamie, welcome to the forum and happy planning!
  4. Oh man, it totally sucks that this guy is not willing to work with you more on the price, reception length, etc. He also should have represented the situation better (proximity to beach, his living quarters ON the property). However, I will say that when I read your post I instantly remembered how BEAUTIFUL the pictures were that you posted here when you first booked the property. I was really floored by the beautiful landscaping and thought it looked like the perfect place for an intimate wedding and reception. Please don't second guess your choice too much...I really think this venue will make for a great wedding! And if I was one of your guests I would totally love to stay there with you and chip in on the cost versus staying at a hotel. Have you run that option by all of your guests?
  5. I'll second the "junior" Maid of Honor title. It allows your future stepdaughter to play a special role while your best friend can take on the actual MOH duties.
  6. I will take all of the drawstring bags, aloe gel, coin purses and 10 flip flop bookmarks. Thanks!
  7. Everything turned out amazing! I love the "I Do" sign on your cake table and it looks like your guests had such a fun time!
  8. Ohh, I love San Diego! Congrats - I'm sure your wedding will be beautiful and memorable!
  9. Don't forget to share pictures of your beautiful runner when you get a chance!
  10. Congrats on the engagement and happy planning!
  11. Congrats Jenn and Scott, welcome to the forum! Can't wait to hear more wedding details!
  12. Thanks for the heads-up! I'll definitely be checking this out in the morning!
  13. Wow...the back of the dress is amazing and it fits you perfectly! Good choice!
  14. Both are great but I'm going to also vote for #2. I do think you should find a way to incorporate the pattern from #1 into your planning at some point.
  15. Thanks for sharing your experience...that's awesome you got such a great deal!
  16. Your invites are awesome! I can't even imagine how much time you must have spent in Photoshop to get them just right. Love 'em!

    Hello!

Hi Veronica! Welcome to the forum and happy planning!
  19. I started watching Big Love this year on Netflix and breezed through seasons 1 and 2. Now I'm bummed that I won't be able to watch the 3rd season until December! Great show!
  20. I agree there is not as much info out there on cruise weddings versus other destination weddings. I guess the first decision you should make is whether you would prefer to be married on the ship before it embarks (non-sailing guests can attend) or at one of your ports of call. We have chosen to get married while at port in St. Thomas and are NOT going through the cruiseline to get married. Instead we have contracted with a local wedding coordinator on the island. There is more info on going this route (or even if you choose to use the cruiseline) over on the Caribbean cruise board or also the cruise critic message boards. Good luck and let us know if we can help! I've spent countless hours researching a cruise wedding so hopefully I can answer any questions or point you in the right direction.
  21. Wow - those bags are awesome! You have very lucky guests, I'm sure they're going to love them!
  22. Congrats on the engagement! I agree, planning is stressful but FUN! Good luck!
