  4. Hello everyone, I ordered a dress and changed my mind but at the Bridal Salon their rules were strict, so now I have a dress that I'm desperately trying to sell, I've posted it in several sites but nothing has come out of it so far, I bought the dress for $1800.00 I have the receipt, I only tried the sample at the store, I haven't altered the dress or even tried it on once I picked it up at the salon. I'm willing to sell it for $1050.00 or best offer. You can see my ad at: New with tags Alfred Angelo Wedding Dress Piccione Style No. 384, Size 6

  9. Hello DJMANNIA, I'll be at Paradisus Punta Cana Next year in March or April for a site visit I would love to meet and ask some questions if you will be in PC around those months... Do you have a schedule set up?
  10. Totally understand bearbunny, it's not you it's the keyboard no my friend had a beautiful lace strapless gown she had a lace veil aswell she looked like ave maria lol simply gorgeous so I'm guessing the bride is an exception... but I guess he gave a hard time to other guest, maybe it was a bad day? I wouldn't fret, you're paying a pretty penny for that church...
  11. Hey bearbunny, it is silly but, you will see for yourself, this priest can be very intimidating, I'm sure a strapless dress that will have a lady's breast toppling over would be a definete no, lol, but I guess you would have to decide?? I would say go with the flow but be warned!! I hope i'm not confusing you??
  12. Hello I actually prefer Dorney Park because it has two parks for the price of 1 which really helps if it extremely hot out on that day you can go to the amusement side, they have great rides!! exciting thrilling and your basic fun rides, they're not the huge rides at GA but they get the job done and then you have the water side which is just as fun and refreshing
  13. Ok, if your party consist of then you will fit fine at the church
  14. I went to Casa de Campo Last July for my close friends wedding, I don't have details but I will pass on what I know The grounds are beautiful, private and safe, also extremely immense!! they will provide a golf cart to get around!!! You will need it... The pools are all within room and dining distance, the beach is far!! you have to drive your golf cart atleast 15 minutes to get to the beach, you will need a map the first two days probably. The beach is beautiful but beware of some plants in the water they sting and you will not be happy (sorry forgot the name) We started wearing our flip flops and water shoes in the water. The Restaurants are all great but they're All-Inclusive is called European All-Inclusive meaning they only allow you 1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch & 1 Dinner, the only way you can have seconds is by eating at their buffets I think there is only 1 of those, so for guest that would like to go to two different restaurants a dinner time for example they will get charged for 1 at the time of check out, so please keep that in mind. The hotel will provide a bus to take your guest from the resort to Altos De Chavon which is like 15 minutes away since no golf carts are allowed in that area. The Ceremony was held at Altos de Chavon, Amazing!! Be careful with heels since the whole place is pure cobblestone, it may be difficult to walk in, The church is not large, it gets quite hot and they only have two or three fans mounted on the wall, there is a fountain right in the middle after entering the church so for the procession if the bridesmaids and groomsmen are walking in together, they will have to separate for a brief moment, I would suggest bringing paper fans for your guests, the Priest is sooooo strict OMG!!, Warn your bridal party or anyone that will go up to read or say a passage that they will not allow them to go up at the Altar if they're not dressed appropriately (nothing revealing). The Reception was held at one of the mansions on the other side of the resort, which is truly breathtaking but I guess that part is up to the wedding coordinator, I don't know how that works, all in all Casa de Campo is in a class of its own, your guest will surely remember your wedding. If I can help with anything else let me know Good Luck and Congratulations

  17. Hello Jenn, Congrats!!! Yaay I'm not the only 2011 bride here recently.... I'm also looking into Punta Cana, undecided but leaning towards, Paradisus Punta Cana, maybe we can help each other... Good Luck
  18. OMG I'm a slurpee fanatic!!! are u serious?? LOL, is this everywhere in the US?
  19. Hello, I think you should do both being as its a small group, OOT bags for example usually are per couple staying in a room not per person, you can include items like, scented candle, personalized bottled waters, something that symbolizes the Island, a thank you note, etc... there really is no rule just something personal from you to them and favors... are so many!! I would say that's a harder category....... You can go either with something that matches your theme colors? or something you think they would be able to use again, like a photo frame, coasters, candles, bottle openers... and the list goes on I hope I helped a lil.
  20. Welcome Alison, I'm a newbie as well and also looking into Punta Cana I hope we find what we're looking for. I'm looking into Paradisus Punta Cana. I want to call the hotel but I'm afraid they're too busy to answer some of my questions, I'm trying to figure out a right time to call without having to waste on calling cards. Have you spoken to anyone from Dreams or Majestic Colonial?
