  1. You ladies brightend my day. Brought back memories of myself not 6 months ago. I will be creeping your posts from this day forwards in hope you will make me smile again.

Good luck ladies. Trust me it goes by sooo fast that you will be on here months after your wedding re-living your wedding woes through the brides to be.

  2. I did things a little differently. Since most of us live in the same area I hired a school bus to take us to and from the airport. I got picked up first so put each persons OOT bag on their seat ready for them. For those not on the bus we saw them before we left and gave them theirs then. It worked out really well but we also had a small group.

Thank you from all of us to both you and Tlseege. You guys are so good about checking in here regularly and answering all our many questions! I think I can speak for all of us when I say THANK YOU! grouphug.gif
So sweet, thank you. To be honest I'm only on here so that I can re-live my wedding over and over and over again. lol. No in all honesty without this forum I would have been lost so I'm only happy to help brides that I know can use it.

On another note, for those wondering about the marriage certificate. I did recive mine, appostled and ready to go. I took it to the DMV in Ontario here and they accepted it no problem. It took about 6 weeks for me to get it but that is less time then I was quoted by the resort. Now it's official (to our government anyways) I am now Mrs. Keira Hansen. Yippie!!

    Thanks!
I say corset. IMO it's a sexier option.

I would try and do that after the story and the rings are done. Before you do the signing.

I'm not positive it's possible because I didn't try. I highly doubt they will say no though. If anything they should work with you on it. I searched forums here and found a few ceremonies of other girls and put them together to make my own. Much easier to do it that way.

I hired the guitar trio. They played for my guest while they waited for me, walking down the isle, and again after the ceremony. They were good and our guest enjoyed it.

This is how our cermony went. I don't know how long everything took exactly but the whole thing only took about 20 min.

First they asked everyone if they agree with out marriage. The group says yes and it all begins.

The judge recites a story about love and marriage, all in Spanish. Then your WC will recite the same story in English. I wish I could tell you more but after listening to it all in Spanish we started tuning her out and didn't really listen to the English version. My MIL said that it was really pretty though. (time: approx. 10 min)

Then you do the exchanging of rings. Again in Spanish then English. This is piece by piece though so it was easier for us to pay attention. This is the bit where you say "I do". (time: approx. 5 min).

Next is when the bride and groom sign and then the 2 witnessess on either side. There are 3 pages that each person needs to sign. Once everyone has signed the bride and groom put their thumb prints on each page. Have no fear they give you a cloth so you don't get black ink all over your dress.(time: approx. 5 min).

After that you are pronounced husband and wife in Spanish then English....and you have your first married kiss. Yay!

IMO, it was the perfect length of time for the ceremony, I just wished I had paid more attention. I did bring a ceremony that I had put together myself but since it wasn't translated it was kind of brushed aside. :-( If I were to do it again, I would have sent the ceremony to the WC before hand so that it could have been translated and I could have had more of what I wanted.

I suppose it doesn't really matter though because in the end I'm still married to my special someone.
