I'm really excited about these. I'm not a very creative person but I'm learning that planning a wedding means you have to figure out how to become one. Otherwise the expenses can get out of control. This is my very first DIY project and I'm really happy with they way they turned out (even though they're simple). Now its time to move on to the invitations. So here they are,

My activity of choice is running so I like to listen to anything by LMFAO. Their lyrics make me laugh and their beats make me move. Another song I just dug out yesterday is Pass the Dutchie by Musical Youth. *singing* Gimme the music make me jump and prance. Gimme me the the music make me rock it at the dace. *singing* I love that one. Pretty sure I got the lyrics wrong but hey it sounds like it fits. :-)

Being a big fan of colour my first choice would be the third one all fuchsia. If you're going to do blue then I could say all blue dress with grey sash. That will break up the all grey outfits the men are wearing for your photos. As for the flowers, I say go fuchsia! My girls are in royal blue and I'm hoping to have purple and green flowers. Fingers crossed that all works out.

We booked out wedding with a TA that specializes in weddings/groups. Honestly, like you I was "uberexcited" so we ended up booking our wedding a year and 4 month in advance. We had no troubles with that. Didn't have to wait for a brochure or anything. I'm sure if you look around you will find a TA that is willing to work with you and your needs. Good luck!

Has anyone used Cancun Studios? I've hired them because I liked their style and the price what right for us too. Just wondered what peoples thought were that actually have dealt with them for their wedding day.

Ok so I showed my dress to a co-worker and she too says no sash. What about changing the laces in the back to a colour? Royal blue or aqua? I was really set on having a colour element in the dress but now I'm not so sure.

I want babies too!! Sadly, I will be waiting though. My FI has just signed himself to go back to school in September. A decission I know that will be the best in the long run but me being a very non-patient person it's a hard one to deal with. Alas, I have 2 sisters and 2 sister-in-laws-to-be that are all due before the end of 2009. Babies, babies everywhere. Lolo - I guess you can consider it a good thing that you haven't done much yet. It will be really busy but it's still going to be a ton of fun. For me we started so long ago that I feel like I've been planning forever and I haven't even really started discussions with the resort. Wow thanks for the input ladies. I'm surprised that the option of no sash has come up. I really never even thought about not having one. I see what you're saying about it covering up the back. I suppose I could have the sash sewn to either side of the corset to tie in the front. Then I would have the best of both worlds. :-) Thanks again! Hi everyone, Just joined the forum the other day and I'm seeing everyone else showing off their beautiful dresses so I thought I would try and share mine. It's not exact just yet as this was only the first fitting. I am also wondering if I could get your opinion on the sash. It came with an off white one and I am having both an aqua and royal blue sash made because I thought some colour would be nice. Now I have 3 choices and I don't know which way to go. Background: My bridesmaids are in royal blue dresses and the groomsmen are going to have aqua shirts. Either sash would match but which might go better with the dress?? I like the bustle on this. I'm hoping the lace will look nice dragging on along the sand. It's a little wonky and for some reason I look a little wider then I am so I'm also hoping my back side will look a little nicer too. ;-)

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I can somewhat understand because there was a period of time (a few years) that my fiance didn't like one of my closest girlfriends. I am just happy that since our engagement they have managed to mend fences. With a couple months left until your big day I really hope that both of them can pull it together and act civil for one week. I wish you luck.

I like option A. It's similar to my dress and I picked it for the lace in particular. I think it's going to look lovely with the lace overlay dragging along on the sand. My advise is to go with the one that you like the most so you don't risk being unhappy when it arrives in a few months from now.
