  1. My vote is for #1. Corest backs are sexy and they allow for a little up and down room. Saves on alterations. ;-)
  2. Right now I'm going with The Very Thought of You by Billie Holiday. I say right now because I jsut might change my mind before the big day. lol.
  3. I see that you're from Toronto (or the area) too. You're going to find a lot of information about things you probably didn't know you needed to know about on here. It's fantastic. Anyway, there is a thread posted for a get together in the Toronto area. If you're interested check out the below link. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t46086 Happy planning, Keira
  4. That seem hardly fair if you have to miss out on your own initiated get together. What time does your Argos game start?
  5. You look great in them all but my vote is dress #3. It's slimming, sexy but classy, and IMO would look awesome on a beach.
  6. I'm with you darling. Over the last year or so I've learned a great deal. For cooking, I started out with things that I would enjoy, baked goods. I have made some horrible banana breads, pies, added too much of this and not enought of this. I even made oatmeal raisin cookies and forgot to add the flour! lol. Once I mastered a couple of sweet treats I moved on to dinner. I now spend every Sunday trying something new. It doesn't always work out but it's edible none the less. As for cleaning, I recommend Vim. That is my go to, do all, cleaner of choice. Smells good, doesn't require a lot of muscle power, and makes everything sparkle.
  7. There are a ton of places on Front Street. Jack Astors and Caseys both have rather large patios. They are street level though so there would be people walking by. Both resturantsdo a good job of trying to keep it private though with greenry and such.
  8. Crystal / Nikki - I can meet you a Union if you are taking the GO or subway down town. If we end up getting lost at least we won't be alone. lol.
  9. So I'm curious to know...When watching the fights with your FI, during commercials, does he try and put you in some of the submissions like mine does? I'm pretty sure Steve wishes he was a fighter but he's so sinny he wouldn't even make it to light weight. :-) So that leaves me to be the guinea pig.
  10. Do you have photos of the cake choices? I'm so anxious to get this all planned so I can start working on the details for my AHR. So far all I've confirmed is that we're going to have a guitar trio play at a private dinner. I'm mostly worried about the flowers. I rather go with what the resort has but I want to see them in case I decide I should buy some real touch ones instead.
  11. Any location is good with me. I would just need directions since I only know how to get from Union to King and Bay to the Eaton Centre and back again. :-)
  12. July 19th @ 12:19PM - Just finished putting in my 6th load of laundry. This is pay back for all that procrastination. :-(
  13. Walmart has Blistix SPF15 on sale for $1 right now. 3 flavours but since I'm boring I just went with original. :-) Happy to find a chapstick with SPF for such a good deal.
  14. I'm glad I found this thread. It's surely putting my mind at ease. I have 2 bridesmaids and so far I've bought them both their dresses ($125 each) and made them their MOH and BM tanks ($10 each). I'm either going to add a little something extra in their OOT bags or give them a nicer favour at the reception. I was also thinking about booking us a bar hop excursion in Playa del Carmen for a bachelorette party type thing (approx $70 each). When all is said and down it should be about $250 each girl but again I only have 2 of them.
  15. Nice. We booked with a TA in Oakville that specializes in weddings. She's our back up, I guess if we're not getting responses from our WC at the resort. So far so good. We're working with Karla and she's been good, mind you we've only exchanged e-mail 3 times. So do you have your flowers, cake, decor, reception info all picked out then? If you have I might have some questions for you. I don't know if you know but Lori (Gossipgirl) has created a thread for a get together for Toronto BTB. If you're interested here is the link to that thread. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t46086
  16. August 7th works for me and so does the week after. What about adding a poll to the thread? That way it will be easier to tell which date is most preferred.
  17. No training for my FI either. However I'm not even sure he lifts up the seat to wee. Gina, I have a suggestion. Keep some cheerios on the toilet tank. Tell him to drop one in and aim for it while peeing with the seat down. Worked like a charm when my nephews were being potty trained. No reason it can't work on a grown man. lol.
  18. Im1984 - What day are you leaving and who are you flying with? I'm assuming your leaving out of Pearson. I'm staying in the Coba section but we're getting married at the Tulum gazebo, or at least thats what I've been told by my TA. Have you been in contact with anyone at the resort yet?
  19. Great find Sandra and Jamaica! Just and FYI for any Canadian girls the shipping is cheaper on the first website even though the sashes are a little more expensive. Salt thanks for the advice on which sashes to get. If I have covers I with probably go with white. I think before I buy I'm going to see what chairs they use at the resort. Happy shopping ladies.
  20. I'm in too. I work in Toronto and live in Burlington so a Friday after work would be the best for me. What about you girls?
  21. I'm just now starting contact with the resort. So far I've gotten package information (which I had from the time of booking) and a bunch of paper work to fill out. I can't wait to get to the good stuff.
  22. Amarillis is way too funny!! ROTFL!! "pull and pray... you don't get wet'' OH MAN... that one is bad.
  23. Dito. It's blocked at work but I surely will when I get home.
