As long as February 21, 2013 ends with FI and I as man and wife nothing else matters. I'm not getting the "why a dw, it's so expensive", I on the other hand keep getting "Jamaica huh? Cool, im so there!!! Wait 2013? Why so far away?"....knowing that the second the deposit is due, it'll immediately change to "I can't afford to go, wish you'd have told me sooner so I could have started saving. Keep in mind we've been engaged and picked the wedding day since July of 2012. I've said all that to say this: people are impossible! They will drive you up the wall if you let them. As long as you and FI are there, nothing else matters.

Boooooooo! to me being slow. Where did you purchase them if you don`t mind my asking. I figured I can find parasols in various colors in China Town, but the only place I`ve seen that has paper lanterns in Walmart, and it`s about 4.88 for 2.

I think it looks great. The only real difference I see is the colour. I`m now toying with the idea of buying my beloved Adorae and finding an ebay seller to make my short reception or TTD. For under 200 you can`t go wrong. I love this website.

Spoke with our Beach Bum travel specialist today for the first time. Her name was Sarah and she was great! Sarah was very attentive, and had loads of questions for FI and I about everything from how we met, to our vision of our special day. She was able to answer all our questions, and gives us feedback on a few ideas and requests. After speaking with another BDW bride who had to switch from BB, I was worried about her willingness to accommodate our requests. Sarah put all my fears to rest, and was more than willing to make our requests work. I have a few more people to hear back from regarding quotes and so on, but all concerns I had about Beach Bum from being a Canadian bride, to guests flying out of several different airports around the world, are now a thing of the past.

My cousin offered to throw us one, but I declined...at least for now. I might reconsider it when the weather is better.

A friend of mine had thank you post cards made by vista print for free, and they were beautiful.

We're not having an at home reception. Apart from the beauty of the carribean, the point of us having a dw was to keep costs low, and stress levels even lower. An ahr would totally defeat the purpose. Anyone in my family who can't make it can watch the video at the family reunion 5 months later...tough.

FI's sister is in our wedding party, We don't really have a relationship to speak of right now, but it's his sister, My brother is one of the groomsmen so I guess it all works out. I would never get married without my brother beside me, and he feels the same about his sister. She doesn't have to be bff close, but it's obvious from the number of times he's mentioned it your FI wants her standing up for him. In the grand scheme of things, it's not that big a deal imho. If he had 4 sisters I could see it being an issue, but it's his only sibling.

I wasn't going to do a save the date to cut costs, but a free eSTD sounds right up my alley. I like the idea of a personalized powerpoint presentation too. You ladies are brilliant, my wallet thanks you.
