  4. Saturday July 3rd, 10:13am....just submitted a quote request for my real touch flowers
  5. fyi - for anyone having issues with their trackball.....take it in to the store where you purchased your phone and they should be able to replace it for free I have never had any issues with my trackball at all, but when I was at the store upgrading FI's phone, the sales associate at the store offered to switch out the track ball for me (just cuz it was dirty as I've had this phone for almost 2 years) and he did it right in front of me it literally took about 15 seconds.

  7. I am not doing a garter or bouquet toss...I've never been big on traditions, so why start now, lol. Besides, I think everyone attending our DW will be married. If DH really wanted to do either, I suppose we could do it at our AHR. Or maybe I could just wear the garter for DH and just not toss it.
  8. If anyone is interested in the bags, I saw them at our Target yesterday so I know they still have them They had ones with pink and ornage polka dots like shown in the pics...and they also had one with pink/orange flamingos...and they also had an aqua/light green stripe.
  9. I'm so sorry about Joey but the rest of the story is adorable!! I don't think Christmas can get any better than a puppy AND an engagement ring

Thank you Krys for all the detailed information and for taking so much time to answer questions from all the T&C brides!!! You have no idea how much we all appreciate it!! Especially since there aren't that many T&C brides on the forum (although the number is growing) and it can be hard to find exactly what we're looking for.
  12. Thanks so much for sharing your review!! I love your TI pics...they are just beautiful!! We are using them as well

As for things going on around Provo, there are always things going on from full moon parties at Horse eyed Jacks to bonfires coordinated by bay bistro. As for specific events this far out, the island just isn't that organized and things change (we're very laid back). If you want to arrange something for your guests, Bay Bistro (Kissing Fish Catering) is a great option and Arlene at Horse eyed Jacks just asks that you call ahead (maybe a week or so before) to make reservations for parties of 6 or more. As we get closer to your date (around April 1 or so) you can start checking some of our events calenders. But I wouldn't worry too much now about it. And for your wedding/guests, you'll find that you'll really enjoy just being together and visiting (that's my experience with big and small weddings here). Beaches always has something going on around the property (but I don't think they do a bonfire). They have a staged area for nightly entertainment and I know a lot of the musicians on island have regular gigs there. Hope that helps. Krys Thank you Krys!!! And no, I'm definitely not trying to organize anything...at least not yet. We are a pretty laid back group and are happy to go with the flow. I was just curious about possible options available more than anything. I guess I feel responsible in a way to make sure our guests have a good time since they are traveling so far just for us But thank you for the info - it definitely helps. Thank you Maureen! This helps as well. Like I said, the Beaches site lists that there is entertainment, but it doesn't really say what, so was more curious than anything else, and it really helps to hear from someone who has actually been there
  14. Yep, I saw these yesterday and they were $2.50 here too. They had ones with orange/pink liners...one design had polka dots (which I saw another bride on here use for her bags) and they had another with little flamingos too. There were also ones with an aqua/light green stripe inside, that could be really cute as well.
  15. blueberry pancakes : haven't made in a very long time
  16. philidelphia dill pickle : sounds yummy (they don't have that in Chi town either...maybe it's just a canuck thing, lol)
  17. Friday July 2nd, 8:45am.....drinking my coffee and trying to get some work done from home but keep drifting back to BDW!
  18. Everytime I read this thread it just makes me so mad. Our date was picked for a very specific reason (it was my late grandfather's birthday, and he and I were very close) and if something like this happened to me I would be in tears. Changing the date is just not an option for us. It would literally mean changing resorts for us. And for them to just send an email and be so casual about it just infuriates me. I'm really happy for you that it doesn't sound like you were super attached to your date, but how would the resort know that or not? For all they know that could have been your anniversary or something ya know? Even if you do agree to change your date, I really hope they do something to compensate you....severly discounted wedding package, a couple nights of your reservations credited back...something.....you definitely deserve it.
