I didn't invite my Future MIL. I don't really feel that close to her. I did live 2.5 to 3 hours from my mom though, and we met half way to go dress shopping. I took pictures there, so i could still get my BM's and MOH's opinion. I wouldnt feel bad for not inviting her though, especially if you are not going with your mom.

i think its a cute idea. Do what you want, it's your wedding. I agree with what some of the other girls have said, there are no rules with a destination wedding. So, if you and your mom are super close by all means have both parents walk down the aisle. I think it would be cute and your mom would love it!

I agree with the other ladies. Have him walk her to her seat and definitely before the BM's walk.

Unfortunately, I will have a hard time sharing the STD template. He used an Indesign (some graphic designer program) so unless you have that particular program it would be impossible to open it and edit the names. i will post my welcome letter in the near future and take pictures of how i decorated it. I got a lot of ideas from other welcome letters on this forum. Have a great week ladies!

It's ultimately your decision on what day you want, but it may be easier to have it on friday for your guests. They might have to take off less days from work by having it later in the week. Just a thought, but its definitely your decision. Good luck in deciding!

Hey ladies! I was hoping to get some good ideas with what to throw or do after the wedding. I tried to search for this topic, but didn't get any results. I was considering a butterfly release, but after reading that they are often eaten by birds, or are weak or dead in their envelopes I decided against it. That would be awful on such a beautiful day. I know some people blow bubbles or throw flower petals. Any other ideas for a destination wedding? Thanks!

I finally ordered my dress yesterday! i'm so excited. I know it's an older style of maggie sottero's, but i absolutely fell in love with this dress. I just bought a maggie sottero gown. I wear a size 6/8 in express clothing, abercrombie etc. And i usually wear smalls in shirts. I had to order a size 10 maggie. Maggie dresses definitely have their dresses sized differently than street sizes. AT least that is my experience. The great thing about maggie dresses is most of them have corset backs which can forgive a size up or down. Good luck. I would personally probably drive too or have someone take your measurements and then have the maggie store match up your sizes. That could definitely work too. Again good luck!

We choose Jamaica because we got engaged there.. We didn't get engaged at the resort we are having the wedding at. We chose RMB because the WC's got back to us right away with any question we had. It may have taken a day or 2, but that is nothing compared to what I experienced with other resorts I contacted. Also, my photographer Brian Nejedly said the RIU has beautiful weddings! We're so excited! Congrats to all of you other ladies that chose Jamaica..you will not be disappointed. Jamaica is beautiful and who can resist an all inclusive deal?

I had a really cheap STD if anyone is interested. My fiance is a graphic designer, so he designed the template. I could probably send it around if i can find his attachment . We did a post card size, but printed the design on photo paper. I attached an info letter to the STD. I used our color of blue paper, which i purchased at staples and decorated it with paper flowers that i purchased at michaels. Also I read in other girls threads that they used luggage tags from staples. and ironed them through a towel themself. just thought i would share if anyone is interested since that alone is costing you 700 dollars. yikes!
