  1. congrats and happy planning!
  2. I am just walking down the sand....no shoes barefeet....where do you get these mats? My hotel rents a wooden walkway but its not that long and it is 150 bucks.
  3. my TA is doing all of the guest booking and dealing with information the guests need much easier!
  4. we considered using an ipod for our reception also but my parents were skeptical so we are hiring Dj duremix. However, I am using the ipod and a live mariachi band for the cocktail hour so I can have the best of both worlds
  5. thanks ladies for the casita advice
  6. they are awesome! I'm going to lay my programs out to dry after reading your post....metalic paper seems like trouble
  7. welcome and congrats! I would choose Turks if you budget allows
  8. Hi Jennib31--I am having the mariachi band play at our cocktail hour at the Health Bar. I think since I'm not having a DJ at my cocktail I wanted something fun for the guests to listen to. I am having a DJ for my beach reception from 7-11 and he is working on the songs with me which is great! I just went to Michaels at lunch and bought a box of 12 glass votive holders with the candles for 4 bucks with my coupon! The resort was going to charge me 4 dollars per votive! No way! I heard Moments that Matter is great! That is exciting
  9. Natalie--what type of room did you book when you stayed? And did the resort give you any problems with you bringing the votives?
  10. omg that is a great price!!! I'm going to Michaels today to buy them! I can't believe they were going to charge me 120 bucks for 30. Thank you!
  11. we leave out of Barcelona in August and it is a week cruise! I am trying not to think of that storm season either.....no way!!!!!!! Good luck vibes all around
  12. Anyone know if the individual casita or the swim up infinity pool casita is a better choice I can't decide...a private casita free standing or one with a pool but near other guests.
  13. I know what you mean Baglover....the only reason we are doing the casita is because we are doing the free sweet wedding and that is a requirement to book a casita. Your honeymoon sounds awesome....we too are going abroad on a cruise to France, Italy, Spain Sounds like we have a lot in common!
  14. Ladies, What room are you getting at El Dorado? I currently have the individual casita suite booked but I'm interested in the infinity pool one...hmmmm...just wondering what you all are booking.
  15. Great thanks Baglover! I will def do it online then Natalie-did you buy just the votive candles....wow that is cheap! How about the glass part the candles go in are you bringing those too? Thanks for the tip
  16. Baglover- did you pay the DJ through western union as is states on the contract? I just want to make sure that is a safe way of wiring the money
  17. thanks baglover! Maybe I can do less....and I think they quoted me 4 dollars a piece hmmmm
  18. Yes bring your ihome and your ipod I would put it on a table and just push play...make sure your song list can run from one song to the next without anyone needing to assist it. I would see how loud your ihome is and for a cocktail party it will be fine. I am bringing mine for our cocktail party. I'm not mentioning it to the wedding cordinator
  19. Is anyone bringing votives with them instead of renting the 4 dollar a piece votives from El dorado? They are charging me 120 dollars to rent 30 small glass votives with a candle to set up at El cocotal for my rehearsal dinner. I really think that is a big chunk! Any ideas?
