Ladies I leave in 3 days for EDR!!!! I can't believe how fast it went! I just finished packing and I fit all of the wedding stuff we are bringing down into 2 suitcases! A lot cheaper than shipping it down ahead of time...only $50 dollars What is everyone putting in their welcome bags? I have some things already but it looks like they need a bit more in them...so I guess I'll grab some stuff down there Let me know what you are doing!!!

I sent my WC a picture of the bouquets and they were able to do it very cheap. I also am having my bouquet wrapped in palm leaves and tied with twine and they were able to do that also For the parents I am giving the moms a wrist crosage and the dads a boutineer. I'm not giving any other family flowers in order to keep the cost down.

OMG 8 days so exciting! I have so much to do still but my plan is to have everything done by June 1st so I have 1 month to shop for myself and relax We will see if that happens!! Jodi20--For our ceremony we are bringing our ipod and putting it on a cd in case. For the bridesmaid processional we are having Over the Rainbow...sounds tropical and airy , I am walking down to Cannon done in C (guitar)...my fiance may be playing this on the guitar while I walk down or we will just do a recording, and our recessional is Jack Johnson Better Together!

Is anyone having a private event at the Health Bar? I am having our cocktail party there at 5:30 after our ceremony. I wanted it at Tucanes but couldn't because they only have events there from 6 pm on. I really could use some help on how to decorate this large space. If anyone knows what it looks like or has or will have their event there please help! Thank you!! Lauren

A la playa--it sounds like you have a plan!!! Those colors seem perfect! I agree if you could find a nicer yacht type of boat that would be classy and unique. I'll let you know if I see anything Baglover--YAY!!! I'm so glad you got the lower prices too!!! I can't believe I happened to go on the site that day to check the menu again and there it was in black and white $26 pp! Your colors are very cool and perfect for the location! I'm doing orange, hot pink, and teal! I purchased some decorations and plan on shipping them down to my WC in June. I also had my WC go out to the local market to look for my authentic mexican centerpieces...which I'm so thankful she did! I also bought some of that papel picado (if you google it you can find it) and I had it personalized with our date and names as well as in my colors. I also have a banner with our monogram on it that someone hand painted for us that I'm going to tie onto tiki torches and place in the sand during the reception. Lauren

Hi al la playa!! I'm with baglover we can help you with the details!!! I think the private cocktail reception will be perfect and then go right to the dinner. I was going to do the same until I had more people coming. What cocktail party menu are you having? hmmm... 1:30 ceremony over by 2-2:15 maybe could you do a wishing shell toss and bring all of your guests down to the beach, hand out a shell or those smooth small stones and have someone read one of those cute poems (I googled one online and they have tons of poems for blessing stone/shell ceremony) and then have all of your guests make the bride and groom a wish and then everyone throws it into the ocean (cute photo opp. too). This will extend your ceremony a bit I would say 15 mins to make it more personal. (2:15-2:30 ish) Then maybe everyone could meet up at one of the martini bars at the hotel (ask WC where) while you get a few pictures? 2:30-3:00 I love the catamaran idea I know they do have this available...maybe 3-3:30 ish to 5-5:30 (not sure how long these are) Then have the cocktail party (private) when everyone gets off the catamaran 6-7 (maybe do first dances here??) Lastly have the dinner at El Cocotal (I hear this takes awhile so plan on delays) 7-9:30 have your cake here Anyone who wants to meet up for late night activities go to the Martini Bar (lobby) and or Guacamaya's (swing bar).... Just some thoughts let me know what other details I can help with Lauren

I just got my new updated spreadsheet with my 26 pp prices....oh and I get 20% off of that because of the promotion bride stays free....are you getting that as well...this is off of private events Let me know how you make out! I'm so glad I saved money myself and now for you lol

update*** I called my wedding cordinator from Lomas yesterday to tell her about these prices and she honored the BBQ deluxe price of 26 pp instead of 49 pp!!! Also she said and you can see on the website that most of the other private event menus have gone down in price. I just saved 800 dollars!!!! I'm so excited. Let me know if you get the lower price also
