One of the reasons i thought this would be a good idea is because DPB is all inclusive and from my own experience there is always so much food that I don’t want to overwhelm my guest with more food at a reception sometime around 8 pm after they have been eating all day. So, is not having a sit down dinner at an all-inclusive resort considered tacky? Jenfly:
I am doing the same thing - no private reception/dinner. My wedding is scheduled for 4pm as well, I have decided to do a cocktail hour afterwards, and will coordinate dinner for all my guests at the World Cafe after the cocktails. You can't make reservations as it is the buffet style restaurant but the WC has said that they can help me coordinate. I don't understand why you would pay for dinner at an all inclusive - there so much other stuff you can spend your money on.
