  3. FI is wearing a white linen shirt, but we are still debating on the color of the linen pants. Either Khaki or black.

    Hi everyone

Isn't this addicting? I Love it! Congrats and happy planning.

One of the reasons i thought this would be a good idea is because DPB is all inclusive and from my own experience there is always so much food that I don’t want to overwhelm my guest with more food at a reception sometime around 8 pm after they have been eating all day. So, is not having a sit down dinner at an all-inclusive resort considered tacky? Jenfly: I am doing the same thing - no private reception/dinner. My wedding is scheduled for 4pm as well, I have decided to do a cocktail hour afterwards, and will coordinate dinner for all my guests at the World Cafe after the cocktails. You can't make reservations as it is the buffet style restaurant but the WC has said that they can help me coordinate. I don't understand why you would pay for dinner at an all inclusive - there so much other stuff you can spend your money on.
  11. Welcome - you will need to first decide on the destination and then from there you will get plenty of recommendations from previous and soon to be brides. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum and congrats! Happy planning.
  16. I love heels and can't see myself in flip flops in my wedding dress. I will be going barefoot for the beach ceremony and then back to my heels for the reception. But everyone else says - it's what YOU feel comfortable in.
  17. Don't stress, relax this is all supposed to be fun and exciting. I had a few issues with Melani answering my initial emails but after the second one or so, she has been very punctual on answering my emails and calls. I do have an advantage that I speak and write spanish which I definitely believe does make it easier and I started using after I got vague answers to some of my questions. On another note - do send out your STD very important so that everyone can start saving and then the dress. Good Luck!
  18. Very cute I'm thinking of using cute little sarcastic sayings on mine too. Once all done I will post to share. Great job.

Figured I would ask here first before contacting the resort. Let me know your thoughts! Hi there: I'm doing a symbolic ceremony as well for the same reasons. You won't have to be there the required 3 days before but we are arriving on a Thurs for our Sat wedding just to have some time to relax before the ceremony and meet with Melani to go ouver the ceremony details.

  21. Dress shopping is stressful enough let alone without someone to support you. I like dress #2 - Good Luck!
  22. My wedding theme is a damask print I saw these dresses back in July for $198 each and didn't want to spend that kind of money since I am buying them for our 3 daughters who will be our bridesmaids. I was lucky enough to find them while on vacation at an outlet Mall for $29.99 in Sept. These are from White House Black Market. The girls will each carry a teal parasol and I am making them some cute flip flops.
