  3. Thank you ladies you are all very sweet. FI has convinced me to open up shop, he says he loves to watch me in my creative modes. I have decided that upon my return from our wedding I will open up an Etsy shop. This is all thanks to you lovely ladies!
  4. Sorry ladies I just saw that the final pic somehow got deleted so here it is again.
  5. So instead of a guest book that will be stored away somewhere I decided that something for my scrapbook would be better. The photographer who took our engagement pics was able to make for us some scrapbook pages for our guests to leave wishes on. I love how these came out.
  6. Our OOT bags printed with our logo minus our names so that our guests can use them over and over again. Got the medium size drawstring bags from Oriental Trader they were very inexpensive and are unisex which is perfect!! We got the bags and the towels printed by a local company at home. Other contents: Cup Wedding Weekend Survival kit: Chapstick, body butter, sunscreen, and hand sanitizer Oh Sh#t kit: Aleve, Tums, Imodium, and Prilosec Key and tip holder Tourist basics – a little booklet with common phrases in English and Spanish Livestrong wristband – our little way of contributing Damask journal with damask pen – for the ladies in the group For the kids – an activity book with coloring pages that I made, a puzzle book and a water gun Beach ball (I forgot to include in the bag) We will put the luggage tags on the bags so we know who each bag is for and hand out at the meet and greet cocktail the evening before the wedding which is when most guest will arrive.
  7. I actually printed a little booklet from single-serving.com. Totally free and cute. Here is a pic.
  8. Everything looks amazing, congrats and wish you the best. I will be getting married 3 days after you at Dreams Palm Beach so here is to us Dreams Punta Cana brides yayyy!!!!!
  9. Congrats and welcome this this marvelous forum. Happy planning.
  10. Love it another DPB Bride. I am getting married there in 11 days and can't wait! So far everything has been great with the resort and the WC. You will love working with them. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with. Aracelis

  12. Ladies, here is the template that I used for the mint matchbooks with our logo. After I printed them I just cut into strips of 2" wide and 6 1/2" long. For the damask I used a damask print paper that I made by copying a damask print all over a word document and cut into the same sizes. Attachment 4885 The vow cards and thank you signs were made on my cricut expression. Let me know if you have any more question. mint matchbooks.ppt mint matchbooks pub.pub
  13. The 2 week countdown has begun and I am pretty much almost done with all of my DIY projects. Well until I find something else that I want to do LOL! So here are some more items that I have completed. Originally I wanted to use the Thank you parasol but just couldn't see myself spending over $35 for something that would be used for a few minutes. So I decided to go another route and make a thank you sign instead. Here is my variation. (this is not one of our vows this was a sample I got from the internet) FI and I are writing our own vows and I refuse to have a scrap piece of paper so here are the vow cards that I made. I kept with the whole theme and designed around the embossing I used for my TOJ. We have about 8 kids in our party and want them to feel just as welcomed - so we are adding a few things in the OOT bags for them. Here is an activity book that I made for them. I made a crossword puzzle using our info on Welcome to Discovery Education's Puzzlemaker! Create crossword puzzles, word searches, mazes, and other puzzles for your classroom today!, they have a bunch of different puzzles you can make. The coloring pages I just googled wedding coloring pages and downloaded them. Finally, I wanted to make the mint matchbooks for after dinner. I will have these on the tables. I made a variation of the damask and our logo. I'm hoping to get back my printed OOT bags this week so that I can put one together and post pics.
  14. I found all of my items at Target but I don't think you have Target in Alberta - here is a website that carries all the travel sizes. Minimus.biz - for all your travel size needs Good luck!
  15. Here is where I got mine : Key and Tip holders - bought the badge holders from Office Depot they were 12 for $5.49, the lanyards were purchased from Pouch-n-Coil 25 for $9.95. I used Staples matte white business cards and then glued them to the black cardstock. Good luck!
  16. There are so many different views on this and I don't disagree with any. We have decided not to sleep together the night before. Our resort offers the groom a room the night before based on availability, if for some reason they do not have the room FI is going to stay with his brother.
  17. Congrats! You will find tons of information here to help you plan your wedding. Puerto Rico is a beautiful island and you will find a great location. (of course I'm a little bias since I'm Puerto Rican).
  18. I agree with thomasjsgirls - tradition goes out the door with destination weddings. We do not have any grooms men or best man. I have 2 daughters and FI has 1 so our 3 young ladies (who are 21, 20, and 17) will walk down the aisle alone. My two daughters will go on my side and his daughter on his side and that's it! I wouldn't worry too much about this, most people will be too interested in the bride and groom, instead of counting how many BM and GM are on each side.
