  1. I've attached the document I was referring to in my previous post for anyone who wants to take a look or haven't seen this before. drepc-wedding-guide.pdf
  2. Hey ladies: I don't know if any of you have visited the Dream's website recently, but they have added a pdf of all the wedding services and prices of the individual items. I have to say that now I am more inclined to pick a package that includes alot of the receoption stuff like (cocktalil hour/dinner). Once I calculated our bugdet against there individual prices, it just seems to make more sense that way. Is anybody else seeing a major price difference if you get the free package and then add on the additional items after the 20 max count or is it just me? And now there is a price to host a rehearsal dinner the night before when I was under the impression you could just ask them to reserve a restaurant the night before for dinner? AND no music and dancing allowed at the reception terrace locations (WTH). It says music is only allowed indoors or private events INSIDE the ballroom. I don't want to use the ballroom!!! And a duration of only 3 hours per event or an additional per hour charge is put in place? Maybe I am not understanding this clearly. Any input gladly appreciated. Thanks girls!

    Hello

Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forum. I am sure you will find valuable information here from all the past brides and brides to be!
  4. Congrats and welcome to the forum. There is a plethora of information here on all the places you mentioned! Happy planning and again welcome!
  5. I agree with most of the girls so far. I am getting married August 9, 2010 at Dreams Punta Cana and so far I have done my wedding website with all the information guests will need and have a goal to get the STD's out by Dec 18th. I just put the deposit on my dress last sunday but my dress will be here in 3-5 months which leaves me some room for alterations. I wouldn't stress about favors and programs yet, bc you need an accurate count before you start purchasing those items anyway. Take a breathe and relax. Like one bride said we are all here to help you. I used wedsite.com for my wedding website, which has become my best friend, it's easy to navigate through and it's simply beautiful. Another thing to consider is if you want a religious or a symbolic ceremony. We are having a symbolic with Pastor Rick York, I can forward you his information if you would like. He is an english speaking pastor there and it just makes me feel better to have a pastor officiate my wedding other than a judge and a wedding coordinator translating, but that's just me! So in order, I would, 1) Decide on budget, review resort packages and chose one 2) Start looking a dresses 3) Start building your website, so guests have something to look at while waiting for STD's and formal invitations 4) Favors, Photography, BM dresses selected 5) Chill till it's time to take flight Good luck!
  6. Thanks ladies! I really need to add some more albums and about 2 more pages. I just realized there is no "About the Bride" "About the Groom" page, so I will work on getting that done over the weekend! And if you check it out again, please sign the guestbook, I feel like we (meaning the forum) are all one big happy family anyway!
  7. Thanks for posting it again Toya Tam I sent it to your email as well!

I am not going to go over budget trying to please people! I know that sounds mean, but for all that I would have had my wedding at home I know everyone's day will be perfect, maybe we should all coordinate something with Deyanira about leaving centerpieces or other goodies so the next bride that comes a week, month later can re-use items! Just a thought...
  11. Hey Ladies, we used wedsite.com. It is absolutely amazing. To me, my website sets the tone for our wedding, so I wanted to go outside the box and do something different. It was only $40 for the entire year bc I used a coupon code from retailmenot.com. Check it out if you want, I think it's a great site to use!!! www.ourlifebeginson8910.wedsite.com

I am still a bit concerned about the weight of my luggage bc I want to take everything with me, lol! I think I am going to bring centerpieces and linen with me. I will just have to make every guest pack something for me Hey I am the bride, who can say "No" to the bride

Hey ebredhawk, can you please send me a copy of this as well. Thanks so much, Misty [email protected]
