  1. Great bouquet, i love the aqua at the bottom, nice touch! The only thing I'm not sure fits, is the white feathers, with the long feathers? Idk, I actually like the seashell! Best of luck to you, you did a fantastic job. I'm so all about DIY stuff!

  3. Hey Janice! Don't get too flustered! you've got a major decision down, which is location, and so now you just have to buckle down on a fabulous resort, which the many threads here will definitely help you suss that all out! This part of the process is exciting! Best of luck!
  4. I am going with Cecilia Dumas so far, she has been great so far to responding, and answering any questions i have! There are a plethora of great photogs on this site alone, you just really have to do your research! Email every one you like, because you never know who is, and isn't in your price range! Good luck choosing, it was a very hard decision for me!
  5. congrats and welcome to the forum!
  6. I just researched the weather averages for different areas when deciding on November. I think the rain precipitation is higher in July, but I'm not sure, it's definitely easy to find out! Good luck on your search!
  7. Welcome Jessica, good luck on the planning!
  8. I think there are lots of unformal grooms on bdw!! I think, however, that he should be wearing a contrasting color to your dress, maybe white, or one of your wedding colors? As far as the father, if the groom is going unformal, so should he! I think it may look off if he's wearing a suit, and the groom isn't, but then again, it's whatever everyone feels most comfortable in! Also, khaki goes great against the color of sand versus something too dark!
  9. woah, that's awesome! Sooo pretty, and it looks perfect for a dw!!! thanks for sharing this!!
  10. yay! So gorgeous, although I think Brielle will look so stunning on the beach!
  11. Oh my, i'm an etsy fanatic! I've even started doing my own projects, like making my own barefoot sandals and necklaces! I've already ordered hair flowers, and other things like that from etsy, and have decided to just Diy the rest. You can get awesome bouquets, on etsy. Seriously, thanks for posting this thread, I am going to take pics of all the awesome stuff I've gotten! Etsy has a thing called alchemy, too, and you can even custom order a product that other sellers can bid on to make for you, and give you a quote! This is the most brilliant website ever! I have been a longtime fan!
  12. I agree with everything said! However, even though I can't relate because it's just me and my fi in our wedding, we ended up doing an online honeymoon registry for our friends and family! People can actually register things like a romantic dinner, or snorkeling, or a spa treatment! Best thing is, is that the money can be put into any bank account, or split up in however payments you like! It's a perfect way to help you with things you really need, and give you some extra spending while you're on your honeymoon/dw! best of luck to whatever you decide, I don't think it's tacky to do a registry at all!
  13. try booking through an agency who can help you choose your destination! I'm sure you can find the best of both worlds, a beautiful snorkeling island, with resorts that have those awesome swim ups!
  14. PR is a beautiful choice, congrats!
  15. hello! Welcome! Those were my last two choices, riviera maya, and punta cana. Both are pretty economical, I think DR a little more so than riviera maya, however both choices are completely gorgeous that have a lot of different all inclusive resorts that will help you save in the end! Try getting a TA that can get you a good deal. I went through destinationweddings.com, and while I'm not in love with our TA, it was a good decision, as far as cost went! Look up some different threads, it is extremely helpful on this site! Good luck to you guys!
  16. I agree with Josie, I am also doing a symbolic, and getting married in a courthouse! Good luck, though, deciding on what is best for you two!
  17. Welcome! Don't get too overwhelmed, just start with the exact location, and go from there! Try deciding on one or two things at a time, b/c I feel when you start adding everything all at once, it can get stressful! best of luck!
  18. Wow, that's a beautiful set of rings you have! I'm still searching for a perfect band for my solitaire! I cannot for the life of me choose something I love! His is nice, too! I like his ring, also!
  19. The more you participate, the faster it will become to where you'll have more privileges on the site, such as opening attachments and whatnot! Good luck planning, you'll still find great info no matter what your status! I have, and i'm still a noob
