welcome! DEFINITELY go for Dreams Cabo! That was our first destination, and overall pick for a resort there, but decided to go to Riviera Maya. We would have been thrilled with that resort, though! I can't give advice as far as how many to invite, so good luck with that, you'll def. find good threads on here for that!

Tracy, GO FOR IT! What's the worst that can happen, honestly? It would be an amazing time, and I think so much fun! If it comes out great, it'll be better than you expected, and if if you don't try it at all, you may regret the missed opportunity! You can't recreate these moments, or the environment! I've seen some beautiful, and TASTEFUL TTD pics, and my TTD photog, has really romantic elements in his photographs, whether the background be jungle and rocks, the beach, or anything of that nature! You'll decide what's best overall for you and your FI! Good luck!

wooooow! You look amazing in all of them! I'm sure you'll be a beautiful bride no matter what you choose, but I think #4 drapes so beautifully on you!! I also loved #5! Good luck choosing, what helped me was trying on the top 2 or 3 you love back to back until you get down to the final one, and then try it on one last time just to make sure! The lady at the salon I went to even had a bouquet to hold, so I could envision the whole picture! You can't possibly remember what you love trying on so many gowns, so you have to do it a few times until you narrow it down detail for detail!

this thread is amazing.... confession: I wanted to have a wedding that wasn't just the two of us (he has issues with his fam, and has no one to designate as a best man) so we decided that'd be best to just have us two go. We're getting married in november of this year, and it's saddening me that i'm dress shopping alone, and that i can't share this special moment with my family and friends!! At first I was okay, but after going through so many details, I realize that I am going to be really sad not having anyone witness our big day, not to mention I won't get to be with my best friends through it all. Sigh. That feels better to let it out!

i think dress 3 is stunning, and you're smiling so big! I think once it's fitted, it will drape beautifully, not to mention the train is perfect for a beach wedding! Good luck deciding!

I just ordered a dress from inweddingdress.com, which has a similar maggie sottero destination dress! I'm crossing my fingers it comes out great! I'll get it in a week, and let you know how it comes out!! It's dress number three for me, so hopefully third luck's a charm!

It's nice to know that generally mostly everything went well, even though you had to keep asking for it! I'm getting married there in November, and am also using destinationweddings.com. Who were you working with, if you don't mind me asking? I've had a few issues, but not so much anymore! What things can you hold off until you arrive to make appts for, or order, and what things should I do in advance, like the spa apts? It is just me and my fi, though, so I suppose I don't have to worry about as much as most do!! Thank you for your advice about the buildings! I hope you post more pictures soon, i can't wait! Just because of your review, I will not be buying from them!! I went in there the other night, and felt rather unwelcome, and not one person even greeted me! how rude! It's funny, because you never know who is going to spend money, and for that matter how much! The ones who actually spend money, and on your account, a lot for their store, they treat so horribly! I am sorry you had an experience that not only ruined your day I'm sure, but also made you stress about how you were going to get everything in on time! Best of luck, and definitely don't let them hear the last of it! It is your right as a paying customer, to get what you pay for, and you most certainly did not!

All in all, magically she replied today, and she got me in the path I wanted to be in, so now I feel relieved!! A little bad for overreacting, but that's exactly why i posted the question here. I wasn't really sure what to expect from them, as I don't do this everyday obviously, nor was it made very clear! So she responded to an email I wrote shortly after posted here, and all is well! I also didn't personally know anyone to have gone through a dw, so it is a little strange. Having these little, important details made out to the very last minute can be a little stressful, so all of this just puts my mind at ease! Thanks again, for all the help! I was worried because I didn't want to go two more months stressing for nothing, when a quick email(s) would have put my curious mind to rest Also, when their website quotes them being "dw specialists" and "dw planners," it made it seem to me that they were something besides a travel agent!! So, now that I have heard from other people, I know what is the norm, and what to expect So thanks to all, and sorry for posting a thread that already existed!! I know for next time.
