I also agree that it's tacky to directly ask your guests for money. I'm not even big on this etiquette stuff but I just don't think it should be done. What I've always heard is that you're supposed to have your family/bridal party pass the word along if asked.

This works for me EVERY time I get hiccups! I breathe in through my mouth, as much as I can, and then I hold it for as long as I can and then exhale through my nose, letting all the air out. It always works!

I'm still months away but I'm trying to figure some things out. I believe most of our guests are planning on landing in Maui 2 days before our wedding. I'm clueless as to what events I should plan..? What are you guys doing/did for your guests? Did you have a rehearsal dinner and invite all? Did you plan a group outing? Or did everyone just do their own thing? Did you still see your guests after your wedding (if you stayed in the same place)? I wanted to do a welcome BBQ in lieu of a rehearsal dinner but I just can't seem to get it worked out in my head as far as a timeline goes. Thanks for any advice!

No way, I think your gifts are very generous! As much as we love our OOT Bags, most people attending have never heard of them or are expecting them. You could always do a welcome letter of sorts if you wanted to. I think the cruise and donation sounds amazing!
