  2. Hi! I'm also vegetarian and just got married in Maui last month. What part of the island are you staying on? I stayed in West Maui so that's where the places I'm going to suggest are. Our reception took place at Old Lahaina Luau. While the show, location, free drinks and server were all awesome, the food was not so great for someone eating no meat. I was a little disappointed. We had our welcome dinner at the Hula Grill (the fine dining side). The food was really good! I ordered the organic tofu tower and a friend of mine ordered the squash ravioli (the latter was delish but she only got 3 pieces for 22 bucks! lol). Yummy mai tai's too. I never got a chance to go but I read that the Plantation House in Kapalua (which is supposed to be really nice) will make any of their fish specialty dishes with tofu. I ate on the casual side of Leilani's on the Beach (their maui onion/walnut salad and beachside nachos were delish!) but they also have a fine dining side. Not for your reception or anything but I just have to suggest Ululani's for shaved ice on Front St. I cannot tell you how amazing it is..we went almost every single night. Coconut lover's with the snow cap..a-mazing...my mouth is already watering. Anyway, hope this helps somewhat! Good luck

  6. I also have thick wavy curls and prefer my hair down. I kept going back and forth but I knew I wanted it down so I decided on doing half up and half down, just so I wouldn't have to worry about my hair being in my face. So if you want your hair down, I say go for it!
  7. School of Rock : Joan Cusack
  8. I believe Hawaii's low season is: September to Mid-December January to Mid-March When I was looking into airfare, I believe Hawaiian Airlines, US Airways & United provided discounts for groups. I'm sure other airlines do as well. I can't remember if I got in touch with US Airways or United but I ended up not signing up for the group rates b/c they wouldn't allow people to use frequent flier miles or any other type of discount which most of our guests were going to use. Good luck!
  9. The Chronicles of Riddick : Thandie Newton
  10. Elle Fanning : Phoebe in Wonderland
  11. I was also going to suggest golf for the guys or surfing lessons. Maybe a spa day, dinner cruise or luau for the ladies?
  12. We bought the hibiscus tote bags from Oriental Trading and then just made personalized tags for each bag. Like other previous posters, we figured people would use them again if they weren't too personalized.

Oh for sure...I would definitely still recommend her. She is so sweet, very knowledgeable and fair and like I said, she was so fantastic on our wedding day. I don't regret hiring her at all.
  14. Kisses Over Babylon : David Strathairn (had to look that one up!)
