I am planning on getting a short dress for the reception as well. Ive always imagined myself getting married in a long dress, but I know how hot its gonna be in DR for our wedding so I will just wear my dress for the ceremony and pictures after that Im changing for our dinner and reception on the beach to a short dress.

your monogram is really pretty. I love the colors. And as well your engagement pictures came out great!

My dress just came in It is absolutely stunning! The quality is great and the beading looks great as well. I ordered from gianinarbridal as well. She said the dress will be done in 30-45 days, I received mine exactly 10 weeks later (70 days) so try your best to order as soon as possible so you aren't going crazy a few days before your wedding. My dress fits me like a glove and it looks like it doesnt need any alterations. I did tie it up myself so its not the greatest but I can till it fits perfectly. I will post pics when ever my friend comes to do it up. But for now here are pics that she sent me when I ordered of dresses she had done before and it looks exactly like this, only in white.

The melia caribe tropical offers a similar package. But i believe it's for up to 12 ppl. Also the Catalonia bavaro offers a renewal of vows package for 20 ppl and dinner etc for $445.

Perfectly said autjo and Nam, imagine if the wedding was free and everything else was free, people wouldnt just vacation, they would get married or have a huge PRIVATE event everytime they went to an AI. All together you are def getting a great deal! And you have to do basically nothing, they take care of all of it for you. $1200 for a wedding is a steal compared to the states for $20,000 and you have to take care of everything yourself, unless you want a WC (add $5000 here). So like the autjo said make a budget and compare the costs for your DW to an at home wedding.

I'm not getting married in Mexico either but my bouquet is included in my package, Im going to use that one as my toss bouquet. I ordered my bouquet from Shavon's wedding silks for about $55 and like the other girls said, they're mine forever

3 of my cousins married woman from the DR and I know it takes quite a while for the whole process, but I believe they were here about a year after the wedding. I know this doesn't help much and I know it kind of sucks but hopefully everything will be done soon.

I ordered the second half of my flowers from jdleggans from etsy. She would respond to my messages in less than a few hours, and asked me questions to make sure she made it the way I liked it.
