Hi all, hope everyone is doing well! it looks like its been pretty quite here lately! Jannae - wendy got back to me with the rates. They are okay. I contacted the travel agents name that MrsMarch (Alexis) gave me and her rates were much better even though it was an approx since the June rates are not in yet. Alexis - Let me know what you find out about the restaurant. I may consider doing a private dinner too depending on how many people comes! Okay I also have a random question does the resort allow fireworks after the wedding or any fireworks packages, does anyone know?

Desiree - Glad you had such a great time! Lisa your dress is gorgeous! Jannae - I don't think you should give your guests the option! I am telling mine that all guests need to stay at RPRM! Also Wendy from Wright Travel contacted me she said the RPRM travel rates will be out in the next 2-3 weeks so to contact her then. Also she said RPRM is a 3 1/2 star which I was surprised about because expedia rates it as a four star. But she said all the reviews she had so far about the resort was good, which I knew already. I will let you what kind of rate she gives me. I am also contacting another travel agent whose info was given to me by MrsMarch. Also we chose our STD's we are doing "Boarding Passes" we found some samples online and my Fiance created one today and it looks really nice! I will post some pics when its finalized :-)

Desiree! Have a blast at your bachelorette party! Lisa what kind of invitations did you get, can't wait to see the pics! And how did the dress visit go? Ladies have anyone of you heard of honeymoonwishes.com basically I dont want to have a wedding registry since I can't think of anything that we need because the FI and I bought a place together two years ago and have bought everything for the house in the last two years. Do you guys think its lame to register at honeymoonwishes.com so that people can contribute toward our honeymoon? samira

Desiree, sorry to hear about your guests! but don't worry about it ( I know its hard not to) just think about the wonderful time you will have in a few days! I can't wait to see pics! Btw we rented a Jeep last year when we were in Mexico and went all over Cancun, Tulum and Puerto Morales (sp?), it was a lot of fun!!!' Chloe - I agree with you, I feel like I have to do something for my guests since they are travelling! Let me know when you find out more about the cruise it sounds like a neat idea! I was thinking maybe taking my guest to chichen itza and estimated that it would cost $3,600 for 60 ppl. But we are still deciding since its a lot of money. I did the Chichen Itza tour through gray line tours in 2007 and it was it included the transportation from the hotel, lunch in a restaurant/hotel and a guided tour of chichen itza.

Thanks all for the replies regarding the invites! I also read in an earlier post some people thought of doing excursion as a gift for their guests. Are any of you doing that, if yes what were you all thinking planning and who are you booking it through, also around how much does it cost per person. I guess it would depend on the type of excursion but I just wanted to get an idea.

Desiree - How do you feel, less than two weeks left till your wedding date :-) Ladies I have a question how far in advance did you send out your invitations? My wedding date is June 5th 2010, and I am little confused as to when the right time would be to send out invitations. For the most part our friends/Family already know that we have decided on a destination wedding in Mexico.

hey all! so much goes on this forum, I haven't logged in for a day and there are so many more new posts! Josie thanks so much for the magnet idea! I may do something similar too! They haven't asked for a deposit yet. I am bit confused about something so Adriana emailed me the wedding code and said its on hold until I fill out few things online, when i go online they ask me to fill out the travel date etc. However I haven't booked anything as yet related to travel. She also says in her email I have 90 days to fill out the info. Was it the same for all of you? I will probably log on sporadically the rest of the week, work has been crazy and then I am away this weekend. I think I will start planning from September when work pressure will die down a little bit!

Shellk - I did look at Trip Advisor to be honest thats what made us decide on the place and also the reviews that I read here. Lisa - Thanks about the TA info! I have never used a travel agent before but probably will do so this time. I have always used Expedia.com for any travel and the last two times that I was in Cancun and the prices there are good but no idea how they will look like 2010! We shall see :-)

Hello All, My name is Samira and I am also planning to get married RPRM in May 2010. I have just emailed Adriana to check the availibility of the dates that we want in May! I spent couple of hours today reading almost all pages of this thread, you guys are so great and all the info is so helpful! As for a little on me, I am originally from Bangladesh and my fiance is from Maryland. We currently live in Washington DC. We got engaged in Ireland while on vacation 2 months ago :-) We decided on RPRM after reading the reviews and know a couple who got married in Riu in Cabo and loved it! Bengali weddings are usually huge and a 3 day affair but what I really want is a small intimate wedding with our closest friends and family and later we plan to have a huge reception in Bangladesh to make the other side of the family happy! I have a few questions: 1. I tried to check the air plus hotel prices for May 2010 both in RIU website and expedia but I dont think they let you see prices so much ahead of time. So once you book a date does the sales coordinator get back to you with a price for the hotel and air? 2. Is it necessary for all my guests to book the hotel through the RIU sales agent or can they use other internet sites? 3. From your experience how much does a 7 to 8 night stay around May cost? Samira
