  1. I think the dress is gorgeous! and its very beachy!
  2. I will be having Daniel Aguilar as my photographer too for my wedding on June 5, 2010. I absolutely love his work!
  3. I maybe biased too! however my favorite from all the people that I researched was! Fer Juaristi Daniel Aguilar Elizabeth Medina Dino Gomez I have booked Daniel for our wedding in June :-)

But you really cannot go wrong with either of them I agree with you about Daniel's work I booked him late last night for our wedding! I am ecstatic!!! He is super nice and responds so fast with any questions that I had :-)
  5. Ladies so I need help! have anyone of you hired Dino Gomez or Daniel Aguilar. I read other people's review and everybody had fantastic experience with both. I did a lot of research and finally convinced the FI that its worth spending money for the photographer. So now I can't decide who to go with! I love both their work. And for a change both are available our wedding day. Home - Dino Gomez Photography, Destination Weddings, Wedding Photographer Daniel Aguilar Photographer - Destination Wedding Photojournalist in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Texas and Worldwide FI thinks I should go with Dino Gomez as for his price $4000 he offers unlimited coverage wedding day and it includes his travel costs too. As for Daniel his price is $3500 (travel included) for 5 hours but I LOVE HIS WORK!!

I know it may be asking for a miracle but we can always try did you find anyone I am in the same boat as you as in with the budget.

Her response: "Hi Katie, Ok, we will offer you both options. I just need your help for this matter: - Please send us your guest list with their dinner preference in advance, so our chefs know how many main dishes of each. - On the other hand, we need to identify who wants chicken and who wants mignon to avoid having our waiters go around asking each person. May I suggest to bring seating cards with names and have someone in your group place them for you 30 minutes before the reception dinner. Please bring the place cards, seating plan and table numbers and holders. (Note: we do have holders but are not at all fancy). We will provide you with a table at the entrance of the restaurant to show your seating plan to your guests." Is she freaking serious!? I leave in less than 24 hours! I'm not going to go crazy contacting all 75 guests to ask them what they want for dinner!!! And I'm definitely not doing a last minute seating chart!!! Katie I am so sorry that Ael being so ridiculous!!! dont stress and maybe this will be a detail that wont matter after all is said and done. maybe when u go there they will give you the option regardless. Ladies I got some more specific price quotes from wedrocks if you are interested let me know and I can email it to you or you can contact the photographer directly. Their price is way over my budget but I will just talk to the FI to see what he think! I am pretty sure he will say "no". but oh well i will try.

This is my review of them... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...uaristi-56757/ Regarding the Mariachi, I really didn't think they were cheesy at all. And I absolutely hate any kind of cheesy-ness. I would describe it as festive, and really a once in a lifetime thing. We had our first dance and dances with our parents to their music, since we weren't having a private reception we didn't have any other way of having one. It was actually really fun and I think our guests all really loved it. I'm not sure how it would be without any kind of music, but I think having them added a lot to the cocktail hour. The chair bows, in retrospect, are something I could have done without. They were very inexpensive though, and I like the splashes of color. Chole sorry to bombard you with so many questions. I just heard from Rafa (wedrockers) and he said individually their rates start at $3500 but more if i get more than one person. I dont really have anything to compare this too. if you dont mind me asking does this seem reasonable. did you get any kind of price list from them if yes would you please send them to me or any other details! my address is [email protected] thanks a lot in advance!
  10. By the way Chloe I contacted wedrockers I hope they quote us sth reasonable! we just want them for the day of the wedding. Also we loved your wedding colors so much that I am not rethinking my wedding colors. My website/invitation and STD was pink and brown! However now I am thinking maybe I will get blue for sashes and I was going to take few decorating items such as candles etc and was thinking of getting blue candles. Since we decided not to have a bridal party it will be easy for us to chage colors :-)

Chloe- awesome tip about the cocktail hour being free AFTER the mariachis are mentioned... I need to totally play that one up since we are getting them anyway I loved all of it in your pics- looked like fun! OH and I just told FI about the cigar idea you had for it- he's all over that. Samira-I'm not wearing a veil, and not sure if you can tell by my dress in my siggy, it's kind of between an aline and mermaid too. I'm just wearing a flower in my hair. Can't wait to see pics of your dress! Frenchie - Thanks for all the info! Ladytrunk - I had decided against the bows too, but after the link which Chloe sent me its so cheap to get the bows so now I have decided to get them. I heard before the hotel puts them on free or may charge a flat fee of $20. so now I am going with it. Is anyone doing a wlecome oot bag? if yes where did you buy the bags from?
  14. Thanks Chloe!! I just looked at ur pics AGAIN its seriously gorgeous and I love how everything is so natural!! ladies I need advice I cant decide if I should wear a veil or not. any thoughts. My dress is in btw a A line and mermaid. I will post pics after april 3rd.
  15. Chloe55 - urs pics are great! I absolutely love your shoes and the way you did ur hair (it is so natural). I thought of wearing brown or pink shoes (my wedding colors) but wasn't sure now I think I will totally do it! Btw the sashes/ties for your chair did you take those with you? or did the hotel provide them for a charge? If you bought them yourself where did you buy them from? Ladies as for the diet I just staretd weight watchers and so far the results are very slow but I guess like ppl says its all abt what you eat! and I eat out too much with FI. I am going for dress alteration on April 3rd so hoping to lose few more lbs before then!

If someone doesn't eat meat, there is pasta they can have, but I'm still disappointed that EVERYONE can't just order what they'd like from the menu. wow that really sucks you are paying extra and they are still capping you to one main course!! I know the resort is great and all teh brides have had wonderful experience but its kinda unfair the rules they have it doesn't make sense.

So if you have less than 60 people you will be at Botogo and do not have to pay this.. that's my understanding anyway. ok that makes more sense because I have never read about the $25 up until now.

I hope that the same happens to me even though I am not thrilled about the $25 extra per person but oh well!
  19. wow I had no idea about $25 per person charge. I knew about the $9 per persson open bar thingy. I will also have btw 50 - 55 ppl and a lot are vegetarians and a lot aren't and some keeps halal/kosher so no pork products so I guess I will also have to pay this $25 per person too!

I am getting married at 5:00 pm since I wanted it closer to sunset and thats the latest you can have it. If you are worried about the light go with 4:00 pm.

  23. Hi Ladies! I am back in the site after 4 months I beleive! Last few months have been crazy busy for me, I was in vacation in Bangladesh/India for a month and a half and as soon as I got back I got busy studying for the CFE (Certified Fraud exam) which I took and passed last week. So finally now I can focus on wedding stuff :-) I see a lot of new members and quite a few who got married in the past few months :-) I have been reading the posts for the last few hrs to catch up on things! As for me I am getting married June 5th at the RPRM and here is a rundown as to whats happening with the wedding stuff! Save the Dates & Invitations I sent the STD in Nov 2009 and invitations last months. So far we have 45 people booked and I am super excited! I am thinking we will get around 50 to 55 guests. As for the STD I did boarding passes and for the invitations I did passport invitations. I am not sure how to post pics here once i figure it out I will post the pics. I got the invitations from Customer paper work. below is a link to it to show what kind I got! my colors are pink and brown. Rebecca’s Lime and Pink Passports Dress I got my dress from demetrios and will go for my alterations end of march. I still need to find shoes. Looking for high heels which are comfy (if sth like that exists). My FI is 6ft 2 and 5 ft 2 hence I need some heels :-) The dress is between a mermaid and A -line with lace, its ivory, I will post pics soon. I am still also deciding if I should wear a veil or not. Registry We have been living together for 3 years so we pretty much have all the household stuff we signed up for a honeymoon registry through honeymoonwishes.com we plan to go to Italy for our honeymoon around sept/oct. Travel Agent I got Wendy from Best Destination Wedding as my TA and she is truly wonderful to work with. The prices fro RPRM recently dropped and she did a price adjustments for everyone who booked so far! RPRM Our wedding time at 5:00 pm at the Gazebo, as for the reception we want a private one so waiting to see exactly how many guests we have. I know we can have a private reception if we get 60 guests but even if we dont i heard you can pay and have one. So keeping my fingers crossed on that. As for the room we booked the External Jacuzzi suite with the spiral stairways, I dont know the room number yet but was told it will be 2095 or around there. Same room where tylersgirl (previous bride) was I beleive. So thats all the update for now. I am going to be good and try and login atleast 2-3 times a week. To all the new brides welcome and happy planning! Samira
  24. Hi all! so I have been MIA for a while as I had family from Bangladesh visiting last few weeks. I went through the last couple of pages of the forum! I bought a wedding dress last weekend since my mom was in town, its one of the Demetrios signature collection and there is not a single pic online! I will post pics when I go for my first fitting. I have also decided to change into a saree (traditional bengali clothing) after the ceremony for the reception. I will post pics of that soon :-) Kimmy - sorry about your bridesmaid but regardless you will have a great time! Lisa - Thats great that the WC contacted you. Hope everyone else is doing great!
