Also where are you having your dinner and what time? just curious since the only option Ael is giving me is the brazilian restaurant.

Jannae, I thought you would like to know this info. I heard from Ael about using outside photographer. What she said the guest pass for one day for him will be $100 plus $200 (the $200 is a penalty fee for using an outside photographer) so in total $300! this seems crazy. so looks like even if we pay for Daniel Aguilar's stay at the Riu I would still have to pay the $200 penalty fee. I am emailing her asking for more clarification will let you know what she says. Also I was not able to get any earlier dinner time than 8:30pm, whatever I wont stress over it, I will just have a cocktail hr with the mariachi band and then do the dinner at 8:30 pm. Right now I just see $$$ flying but I guess a wedding does cost a lot at the end of the day.

Jannae - I went with honeymoonwishes becuase the reviews were good there was a site which compared honeymoon site and fees etc, and honeymoonwishes seemed like the best deal. Plus it was very easy to set up literally took 30 mins to set up the registry. About registry, I initially didn't want to register anywhere esp since ppl are flying all the way to MX. But my inlaws insisted that I register on one as many of them will not be able to make it so I registered in honeymoonwishes.com The Fiance and I bought a place together in 2007 so we basically have all household stuff so we thought the honeymoon registry was the best option for us. We plan to go to Italy in Oct for two weeks. We are not even publicizing the registry, the registry info only shows in our website and I have specifically asked ppl who are attending not to give us a gift as their presence will be gift enough. with that being said, ppl still found out abt it and last few weeks we have been getting quite a few things from the registry. Sammysgirls - good advice on the spa thing, I just booked all ours today.

Sammysgirl - what happened at the shower. Quick question for past brides, so I heard from Ael last Weds (4/14) and I emailed her back on Friday (4/16) with few questions and my guest list, I haven't herad from her as yet. I know they are busy and it may take few days for them to reply back but just wondering how long it took for Ael to correspond with past brides.

Dana, I took my mother in law shopping yesterday. we went to macys, she is a size 22 and we found lots of stuff. But looks like you didn't have much luck there. Have u tried JJill? but i think anything over a size 18 you will need to order online.

I completely agree! I will def ask when I go for my wedding. But I think you can reason with Ael that kids that young shouldn't count for the wedding package! fingers crossed for u!

Hi Jannae, I have a feeling children ages 5 count, the only reason being I had inquired for some of friends who were planning to bring their children and the resort had said kids under 2 stay free but over 2 there was a charge (now thats the room) I assume the same logic would apply for the wedding package. When I go for my wedding I can ask them, just remind me.

Jannae - I agree with what Adrienne said, def get the chair bows. I spent $87 dollars I belive for 80 bows (diff shades of blue). Sammysgirl! I am so sorry that you are going through this! a part of me says boycott the shower but at the same time don't stoop to their level. I say go to the shower and be nice (reverse psychology) if they even understand that. Don't let this ruin your upcoming happy days! maybe its better than they wont come that way they wont make any comments at the wedding or do sth stupid that may offend you! I can't believe the dad made that Church comment, he must be crazy (sorry).

Hi Ladies, so I heard from Ael today to finalize our wedding plans. Apparently my only choice of dinner place is Chillis or Bota Fogo and at 8:45 pm. But I am hoping this really isnot the case since I know so many other brides got earlier seating. I will make my list of questions and email her back over the weekend. also question for brides that have gotten married at Riu before, did Ael meet you guys at Riu Palace Mexico for the appointment instead of RPRM, and was the walk really 15 mins?

Ladies do any of you know how much a guess pass costs? I have 6 guests will be staying at their time share so will need a day pass but just wasn't sure how much it was I think it was $80 not sure. Also the guests offered to pay it themselves but i feel bad making them pay, if you were in my place would you have paid for the day passes or let the guests pay? Not sure what the right thing will be.
